loved the narration and the storyline, but there were just so many players that I frankly got lost... which probably says something more about me than the book, but I'm just sayin'....

The book kept you guessing all the way through and the narrator was excellent, the plot was different, not something that I would’ve thought of

I enjoyed this book a lot. It kept me interested the whole book. I will definitely read/listen to anything by this author again.

Good story and I listened in one shot, that's how interesting it was.

I absolutely LOVED the narrator. There's a way Indigenous people speak and MAN I got homesick. That's it. ... I'm craving some frybread. Something I wish to hell I taught my husband to cook before I became disabled. I hope to hear many MANY more books from this author. thank you for this. definitely special.

It had a very engaging story, interesting characters and was read very well. Very enjoyable

This was an enjoyable listen with an interesting main character. I will probably listen to another in the series.

Had potential but unneeded explicit sex spoiled the book. I liked the characters and story line but turned it off due to the explicit sex .

This narrator is HORRIBLE

The story and characters are interesting, BUT this narrator is so rediculous and inept that I couldn’t finish the book. It wasn’t worth listening anymore to get to the ending.

Clever, funny, intelligent and interesting storytelling.

This is ddd bbbb kkkk mmmm my first Westbrook mystery and it certainly won’t be my last! I’m hooked!

Hasn't aged well

A number of the elements of the story were fine. the narrator was very slow and...not ideal. He doesn't differentiate characters enough and gives a disinterested feel.

While it's not terribly old, it felt so, sometimes cringeworthily. And speaking of cringe...the scene sort of juxtaposing oral sex with oysters and primordial ooze was incredibly awkward and weirdly juvenile.

I had been looking for a new series I could get into. In spite of some good elements, this won't be it.
