About this listen

First in a new series featuring paranormal investigators Ellen and Monty Drew. Ellen claims to possess a sixth sense but Monty, a former P.I., only believes what he can see. She views their work as a sacred mission while Monty just wants a happy wife and a paycheck.

In Ghost College the Drews are summoned to a Southern California bible college after workers report hearing mysterious voices at night. When they encounter the unhappy ghost of a young girl, Monty's skepticism is shaken, but he resolves to help his wife free the trapped spirit. Their search uncovers the Latin phrase "Non omnis moriar" - not all of me shall die - and they learn more about the site's history as a Catholic school destroyed by an earthquake. But a mysterious presence has plans of its own for the young ghost, and Monty and Ellen must go head to head with a Dark Master who's had more than a century of practice in demonic deeds.

Now Monty must leave his body to do battle with the Dark Master, and he's not sure Ellen will be able to bring him back in one piece. He's not even sure what's happening is real. All he knows is that all hell is breaking loose and he's taking a crash course where an "F" means eternal damnation.

Bob @ Platypires Reviews

*audible*

This was a quick, fulfilling listen. The plot was enjoyable and steadily paced, and I liked the characters. Their different views on things made for a fun dynamic throughout! I got quite attached to two in particular in a very short amount of time. It's been a while since I read a good ghost story, I recommend this one if you're looking!

The narration wasn't too bad, but I felt like it could've used a little more change of voice for different characters. Other than that, I thought he had good pacing, good emphasis. Well done.

Overall Bob says: 4 Platypires

Bad teacher

This book is not a how to book on vanquishing evil ghosts, but it is a goofy story meant to entertain.

Audio quality is ridiculous

Remember when you had a several-generation recording of a cassette tape, and then set the player on a thin board or metal surface? This is all muffled and has that elevated volume thing going on when things vibrate too much.

Hurts my ears—not sure I can finish the book even though it is so short. Bummer, because the writing sounds good so far, and the narrator has a great rhythm and accent.

meh

novella, suspense, paranormal
A quick and interesting brief escape with enough suspense and dry humor to keep you reading.
John M Perry was fine as narrator.

Short ghost tale.

Any additional comments?

I mostly enjoyed this book. The narration was somewhat distracting but the characters were okay the situation was a little predictable but it was a fun listen. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Its was beyond boring and I tried to restart listening to it..but after the 10th time I gave up and moved on. The book also seem like it very predictable at times.. Sorry JR Rain :(

The Narrator was SO BAD!!!!!!

This MAY have been a good book, but I will never know because the narrator was SO HORRIBLE that I could not get past it. It was like hearing my 10th grade biology teacher (who was monotone and super boring) read a book. The story was intriguing and I may get the book and read it, but I could not stomach this narrator. No WAY!

No one talks like that

I was thinking this was going to be a ghost story - this story is written from a husbands voice POV-
The wife is the expert medium and walks the hubby through crossing over but his over the top narration and babbling makes this story more pathetic than entertaining.
