A Siege of Terra novella

In the midst of the Siege of Terra, Magnus the Red embarks on a very personal mission – one that will bring him face to face with the Emperor once more!

Listen to it because:

Discover the end of Magnus' journey from Prospero to treachery on Terra in a deeply moving and elegiac tale that sees him finally choose his side and take his place amongst his brothers.

The story:

Of all the Emperor’s sons who fell to Chaos, it is perhaps Magnus the Red whose tale is the most tragic. Sanctioned because of his desire for knowledge, chastised, judged, and shattered to his very elements – there is much for the Crimson King to feel vengeful for. Yet revenge is not the only thing that draws him to Terra alongside the Warmaster’s besieging armies. He seeks something, a fragment, the missing piece of himself that lies within the most impregnable place on the planet – the inner sanctum of the Imperial Palace. As the greatest conflict of the ages reaches fever pitch, Magnus fights his own inner battle. To be whole once more, he must not only overcome the fiercest of defences, but also face the one being whom he loves and hates with equal fervour more than any other – his errant father, the Emperor of Mankind.

If your a fan of the seige of terra series this book is a must. so many epic characters interacting and none of them are the same afterwards. the Emperor, Magnus, Malcadore, even Loren and Garro. This one is worth your time.

I didn't see that one coming.

Another outstanding story and performance.
Johnathan Keeble should have a roomful of Emmy's for his Horus Heresy work.

Bravo to all involved in this project

Magnus would be a hero in most other settings but his love and loyalty push him into places that others would fear to tread.

Poor Magnus

I'm not going to spoil this book, but it was amazing. It gave lore I did not know existed!

Great book!

loved it, but I do wish there was more. Besides Magnus and Alpharis and Omegon, I wish there were more great stories to make me feel sympathy for the traitor primarchs

A great Magnus story

The book 1000 sons was one of my favorites. This was less than that but still a decent story. I did NOT like the ending because it could have been different.

Good but…

Magnus did do everything wrong, but I felt extremely bad for him in this one. Also liked what they did at the end which I wont spoil

The Narrator Jonathan Keeble is the GOAT. Its worth a listen just to hear him.
This was not a bad story, However there is a fantastic amount of holes in the story line. The wall is nuked, it should be a crater, but they fight all over the "battlements". Malcador forces a meeting that server no purpose other than to put words on the pages. The grand finally is just silly. Magnus, the smartest of all Primarch is revealed as just a buffoon. They point out to him that the Emperor is imprisoned because of him...and his response is along the lines of "oh, lets talk about something else" As I write this I feel more like Graham McNeil wrote a much longer book, but had it edited down to fit a budget butchering the story.

Awesome listen. I've read the whole Heresy series so far and this has got to be in my top 10 entries. Graham McNeill is second only to Dan Abnett but this book evens the score a lot. McNeill continues to explore some of the richest themes of the series including the primarchs, the thousand sons, and the emperor. The action scenes in this book are excellent, well paced detailed and tactically sound (for 40k). The dialogue is witty, full of character and we'll read by Jonathan Keeble. Read this for the warp, key plot points, and the glory of the Emperor.

The Siege continues as Magnus takes the stage

There is one simple reason why this particular installment was so supremely satisfying. All of these works always interweave multiple story lines into one larger narrative. I am always so bored by them. My interest lies with the Emperor, the Primarchs, Astartes, Custodians, even Malcador.

Fury of Magnus doesn’t waste our time with the story of soldiers and their perspectives. It’s the Primarch and his sons and their conflicts, thoughts, and story.

I loved it!

My favorite in the Siege of Terra
