Loved the unexpected twists and turns

This is a fun cozy read with some unpredictable moments. I really enjoyed it and will probably read the other ones in the series

Story good, editing of narration problem

I enjoy the story. It’s a cozy fantasy. Good plot, story. Simple but enjoyable. Timeline gets weird several times “35 years to be an adult orc or elf” but both hero and heroine are fighting around 16-18 years old. This story has 2 narrators, I don’t understand how the female narrator edited so poorly. I would have returned the book but a reviewer suggested increasing read speed to cover the enunciation and the changes of pitch. It helped a lot. They suggested 1.6 but 1.2 worked as well for me. I’m not sure why they don’t fix this problem? I don’t understand how they missed this problem? It’s so bad that you can’t always follow the story. It’s annoying switching speeds between narrators.

Loved it!

A perfect mix of action and romance in my opinion. The mystery that needed to be solved kept my interest until the very end.

The personalities of the characters

Overall I enjoyed it. Very sweet (and steamy) story. And the side characters were great!

Adorable

I truly enjoyed this story I loved the ending as well. The voices were casted perfectly and the pace was well read 10/10. Definitely purchasing a physical copy for my collection.

ok writing. awful narration.

The story was fine, all it needed to be. I wouldn't say it was "cozy" since the stakes were a little high, but the setting definitely was. Everything wraps up in a neat little bow at the end, which honestly makes a lot of the plot feel meaningless, but it's still a nice enough ending.

It was the narration that ruined it. Zara announced every sentence in a way that made me feel like it should have been satire. Very hard to take the MC seriously when all her thoughts are read like someone trying too hard to sound sexy.

Better off with the book

This is an adorable, cozy fantasy, and I liked the story. I did not like the female narrator; she annunciated every word, and I had difficulty listening to her. I put it on at 1.6 speed, which helped a little. If you are interested in this story, pick up the physical book.

charming story but felt like it should've been longer? the end felt rushed and I wished we had more.

I literally didn’t get up while reading this book! The story kept me engaged & had some twists that I was waiting to figure out!!

I loved Daella & Rivelin’s story.
Their banter was fun!
The found family part was great, to watch everyone except her!
