Alan is very thorough and informative. I enjoyed learning the latest science regarding health and fitness. He broke each subject down clearly and it was easy to understand. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to take their fitness level to new heights with the understanding of macronutrients and how our bodies utilize them.

If you're going to narrate a book, particularly one with non-standard words, the least you could do is first look up pronunciation on the ones you're not super familiar with. One of the best books on basic application of sports nutrition out there (as applied to body composition, as e.g. hydration is not really discussed in any appreciable detail), but the listen at times was excruciating.

Excellent nutrition book. Just read this and skip the rest.

Got lots of info from the book. it'll be useful for both myself, and in how I cook for my family. would have given 5 stars but I couldn't see the references as I'm using audio.

You cannot find a more detailed analysis of diet from understanding macro nutrients to setting up caloric targets for each nutrient according to your dietary goals as well as tackling dietary myths such as cholesterol, caffeine intake and overeating … eggs?? Great book. Highly recommended
