Fun start to the series

I really enjoyed the story of Gigi and Pike. Their chemistry is intense and hot, but the story centers around family, introducing a vast array of fun and quirky characters and lots of tattooed alpha bikers. There's suspense, action, family drama, and plenty of steamy scenes. My only complaint was I did not know that the story ended on a cliffhanger.
The narrators Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor, delivered a great performance.

So love this book I was hooked from the beginning.
I didnt want this book to end leaving me in suspense.

Hot hot hot!

I love this next generation of Gallos! Really- can there ever be too many Gallos? As in previous books, Chelle hooks you in with the strong alpha Pike who can only be brought to his knees by the sweet yet sassy and feisty Gigi.

Gigi is just like her aunt Izzy- sassy as all get out, but with a heart of gold. She loves her family but wants her independence like many 21 year old women do. However, when the right guy comes along she falls for him quickly. Pike is as Alpha as they come and fits in with the rest of the men in her family. He is definitely up for the task and he will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe from the threat that his family brings to their door.

I love Pike and Gigi’s story. It is intense and steamy and it is not over. OMG- the last page! I can’t wait for next book to see what happens and to see Gigi and Pike get their HEA.

Samantha Brentmoor does a fantastic job bringing Gigi to life, and Jason Clarke... Holy Hell does he have a hot voice! I highly recommend Flame! Just don’t listen around little, impressionable ears! 😉

Sweet, sexy and oh so HOT!! Flame was burning with so much of everything!
Pike was so smokin hot and had the alpha bad boy down but man was he a softie underneath it all. I loved the way he was with Gigi and how he protected her. Strong, feisty heroine and perfect hero.

Is it hot in here?

I promote Chelle Bliss’ books all the time on my blog, NOLA504NERDS . But despite her amazing reviews, for some reason I’ve never read/listened to her work yet. Boy have I been missing out! She is clearly very talented and produces quality books. Her plot and character development were fantastic. Pike is the perfect biker and alpha male, in my opinion. He’s got all the sexy appeal that comes with being a biker, but without the whole ‘being involved with organized crime’ thing. His hot package is legal, ladies! He’s a gentleman in the streets, and a freak in the sheets. Whoops, there goes my panties. And I hear this is basically how Chelle Bliss writes all her men. **screams at Audible** Shut up and take my money! My co-blogger and all-around bestie always raves about Chelle Bliss' books and now I know why. I will never not listen to her again. Now she did tell me that the "parents" books are the OG Men of Ink series, but this Heatwave series is fiya! Man, I may spontaneously combust from all of the hotness that these books have going. Now I know why she slapped my hand when I tried to touch her Chelle Bliss book last month on our used books shopping trip!

This is my first time listening to narrator Samantha Brentmoore. I was thoroughly impressed. Her timing, pitch, pace, and tone were spot on. She perfectly embodied Gigi and brought her character to life. She does a great job transitioning her voice between characters, making them easily distinguishable. I would absolutely listen to anything she’s narrating.

As far as narrator Jason Clarke: Sir, I am a married woman, okay. This man has no business being all sexy in my ears for 8 hours while I sit here with a ring on my finger. I don’t even read the blurbs for books he narrates; I just buy it.

What a great start to the next generation of the Gallo family! I loved the sneak peak of Gigi we got in Love, the final book in the Men of Inked Southside series and I was definitely not disappointed once we got to meet Pike. Gigi has lots of sass and Pike is the perfect match for her! This book has a great mix of humor, lust, action & suspense and I was very happy that we also got lots of time with some of my favourite original Gallo family members.
Samantha Brentmoor & Jason Clarke are definitely a great choice for these characters and I cannot wait until Burn releases later this year!!

Hott!!!

Pike and Gigi's story is a ride you do not want to get off. Gigi is ready for her chair in the families tattoo shop, on her first day she runs into Pike, the man from her past she can not forget. They must now work together and live in the same complex with hot chemistry between them. Now the past has come looking for Pike and Gigi is caught up in the mix. They must now fight for their lives and survive her crazy overprotective family.
The narration was a perfect match, they both rocked and Jason was the perfect panty melting choice for Pike.
