About this listen

It has never been more challenging to be a parent - or more hazardous to be a child. Children don't come with instructions, but Ron Hutchcraft's Five Needs Your Child Must Have Met at Home provides a practical road map for raising stable children in an unstable world. He discusses the 5 critical needs of every child: the need for a secure self, honest sexual answers, satisfying love, stable authority, and spiritual reality, and gives parents valuable, surefire tips for meeting all of these needs. Whether you're brand-new parents or have a house full of teenagers, Hutchcraft shows you how to create a home front that will help your kids grow up to become thriving adults.©1999 Ron Hutchcraft (P)1999 Zondervan Family Ministry & Evangelism Parenting & Families Relationships Young Adult

Valuable instruction

Although this was recorded in the 90's, the information presented is still relevant today. I enjoyed the platform from which the book was presented a live lecture vs a reading of the book.
A quick listen

Awesome Advice!

Mr. Hutchcraft was awesome in this seminar. His advice was so superb that I listened to it about 3-4 times and wrote down the information to remind me of his great advice. Plus, he is such an excellent speaker too! He just grabs your attention and sucks you in. What a great seminar for so little of your time! I believe the seminar is only 60-90 mins long, but packed full of alot of wonderful information on parenting. Something we all need to be reminded of....

Sermon about personal faith, not raising children

The author makes some good points in the book, but mostly is encouraging his personal belief system. I was very disappointed that the last 20 minutes turned into a sermon proselytizing the authors own faith, and had nothing at all to do with raising children. The entire reading is presented like a Sunday sermon, and is at times is very difficult to hear when the reader lowers his voice to press his points. I had to finally turn off the book during this last section to avoid listening to any more preaching.
