A pleasant erotic romance

When I read the summary, I expected something really sexy, and it didn’t deliver completely. Don’t get me wrong, it was sexy. But the reason why Rachel and Flynn can’t admit their feelings for each other is that they are allegedly some kind of perverts. And though their intimate scenes weren’t vanilla, it wasn’t over the top either.

It was still a pleasant erotic romance. The male self-loving scenes were hot! The romance was kind of cute, especially the big revelation. And the big final was original, to say the least.

It wouldn’t pass the Bechdel test. Chance and Aubrey are the link between this book and the Cocky Hero Club, and though Aubrey and Rachel talk a lot, it’s always about a guy. Even Flynn’s mother can’t help and speak about her dead husband. And that’s basically the only female characters. Of course, it’s a romance novel, I wasn’t expecting some philosophical debate, but friendly conversations about… stuff would have given more depth to all the characters.

There was a little suspense element, with an unknown stalker. It brings a bit of danger, and is the catalyst for a heated argument. I enjoyed the small twist, though the aftermath deserved a more thorough treatment.

A quick and sexy read, and what you’re looking for if you don’t expect much more.

The audiobook was everything I expected. Both narrators were perfect for the characters and made me enjoy this book even more.

Friends to lovers

Rachel and Flynn make the perfect couple. They're best friends first, but they each are blind to the other as anything more. It takes Rachel signing up for a site Hard4u that is Flynn acting out his fantasies he has about her before they finally hook up. This is a sweet and sexy story. It's nice to see Aubrey and Chance again.

The only thing that kept me listening were the narrators

Story was repetitive and boring. Had this in my TBR list for a while and bought on sale. Glad I did not spend a credit.

Hamster wheel

OMG this book sucks. It just keeps hashing the same theme for chapters! I need a dirty partner and my bff is so hot but too vanilla. Don’t waste your money or time.

Mediocre Story

Too much time was spent on explaining how oblivious these two friends are. The plot was heavy handed.

That being said, the brief sex scenes were hot.

The subplot was a strange distraction and left a bad taste in my mouth. Why did it end like it did? Odd choice for a smut novel.

The voice actress was 5 stars. The voice actor sounded a bit sleezy.
