About this listen

My name is Blue - insert a mood-related joke here - and I’m a femme fatale in training. My goal is to join the CIA. Unfortunately, I have a tiny issue with birds, and the closest I’ve come to my dream is working for a government agency that’s disturbingly up-to-speed on everyone’s sexts, rants in private Facebook groups, and secret family chocolate-chip cookie recipes.

I know I’m a spy cliché, that agent who works at a desk but craves fieldwork. However, I have a plan: I’m going to infiltrate the secretive Hot Poker Club, where I’ve spotted a mysterious, sexy stranger who I’m convinced is a Russian spy.

And once I'm in? All I have to do is seduce the presumed spy without falling for him, so I can expose his true identity and prove my femme fatale bona fides to the CIA. I never lose concentration at work, so that'll be an absolute breeze for me. Oh, and did I mention he's sexy?

I’m doing it for my country, not my ovaries, I pinky swear.

Warning: Now that you’ve finished reading this, your device will self-destruct in five seconds.

NOTE: This is a stand-alone, raunchy, slow-burn romantic comedy featuring a quirky, spy-movie-obsessed heroine, a scorching hot maybe-Russian, several terrifying tales about birds, and lots of text debates about the relative cuteness of animals. If any of the above is not your cup of tea, run far, far away. Otherwise, buckle up for a laugh-out-loud, feel-good ride.

Witty and Entertainibg

Misha Bell writes with such wit and lessons in all sorts of things like Birds and Spies! She must do a ton of research before she writes a book! In between she fills the story with lots of humor and sex!

Not Your Typical Spy Story

Another funny, cute, steamy and entertaining romcom from Misha Bell! Absolutely loved Blue and Max. They were too cute together. Max was a breath of fresh air. He was charming, sexy and loved animals, and was so easy to fall for. He was the perfect match for Blue. Blue was just as quirky and funny as her sisters. I loved how she was determined to prove the CIA wrong for rejecting her spy application. She is definitely one of my favorite heroines so far.
I started reading the ebook and then finished this on audio to get the full experience of Blue’s silly femme fatale-ish spy shenanigans. It was a delight to listen to this and loved every minute of it. Erin Mallon’ solo narration was phenomenal! She captured Blue’s quirky personality perfectly, from her fear of birds to the funny spy antincs she did all to catch and seduce a Russian spy. Joe Arden’s epilogue narration was the best way to end this book. We got a glimpse of Max’s thoughts and how much in love he was with Blue, even after meeting her crazy hippie parents.
If you’re looking for a funny and steamy romcom with a hopeful femme fatale-ish spy twist, give this audiobook a listen.

Pretty cute, and kinda spicy

This one was cute and spicy, but the awkward scenes were soooo cringy! they're still good, just suuuuper awkward and you can feel the characters embarrassment lol. Her fear of birds was funny though.

Another Good One By Misha And Co-Writers

Yet another good read by Misha and her co-writers. This is the fifth book in the series, and my interest is still peaked. I do strongly suggest that the books are followed in sequence so as not to confuse the pairings. On to Of Octopuses and Men. I can't wait!

Hilarious!!

Maxim (Max) and Blue’s story is fast-paced, sexy, and hilarious. Max is such a handsome man, enigmatic, caring, and supportive. Blue is a colorful character, beautiful, sassy, and determined. Her goal is to become a CIA spy. She is a woman on a mission! She has a big family, very entertaining, and eccentric! You have to listen to this story to know more about them! Some scenes are hilarious! The cast of supporting characters is impressive and I would love to know more about them. Erin Mallon is a fantastic narrator! She does an outstanding job with all the voices and acting. I liked the Epilogue read by Joe Arden. This is definitely a laugh-out-loud Romantic Comedy, and I HIGHLY recommend it. If you like Romantic Comedy, this one is for you!

4 1/2 shaken not stirred STARS

Cute spy-ish romcom! I have to say that Blue is my favorite heroine out of the sisters so far. The beginning had me spitting out my coffee. I love how quirky all the heroines are and how they all are unique at the same time. Max is very sweet and mysterious and I was dying to know what he was thinking. If you’re looking for something light and fun I definitely recommend this book.

Narration was perfect. Erin Mallon does amazing on romcom books! Joe Arden was great as well in the epilogue.
