The cover of this book was like a magnet, pulling me in with its alluring design. I have an insatiable passion for paranormal academic literature, and this one promised to be a captivating read. It exceeded all my expectations and left me craving more. As the first installment in a series, I found myself thoroughly enchanted and eagerly anticipating my journey into the next book. I chose to experience the story through the audiobook format, and the narrators delivered an exceptional performance, breathing life into each character and scene. Good story, male voices are terrible

Ugh! This was such a good story and I loved the characters! The female narrator does a great job with the female voices…but then she gave all the male characters a Boston/NY accent (aka the grossest accents on earth). Like these are supposed to be super hot dudes. Why????? Why would you give them all this accent? 🤢🤮
The male narrator does the male characters justice though and thank goodness no accent).
If the next book does have duet narration then I won’t be purchasing. Such a pity because it really is a great book.

Good story. Need male narrator duet

Enjoyable story. Female narration was great. I enjoyed it when it was a narration for a female. But the narrator made every guy sound like a male new Yorker hot dog vendor. Not good at all for male voices. It became extremely distracting. And made all the males in story feel and sound like they were 40 year old guys with pot belly. It took away from the story significantly. This would be better with a duet narration. Unless that happens for next book I will stick to reading them. Otherwise I liked the story and will continue the series.

Great story but the narration was terrible!!

I had been told the story was good but the male narrators were not so good with all the voices. Even the female lead voice was not so good when she was scared for someone she cared for. It didn’t sound authentic. But I loved the story!!!! I just wish the narrators had done a better job. It is worth a listening to though!!
