About this listen

When your boyfriend bets you in a poker game, you'd better know when to run.

It's bad enough Jade Frost's boyfriend dragged her to a boring poker game. It's even worse that he actually threw her into the betting pot during an intense round - and lost. Talk about the perfect excuse for Jade to make him her ex-boyfriend.

Now she supposedly belongs to the ultrarich, extremely gorgeous Shep Prescott. He could have anything he wants, yet he seems to be in hot pursuit of her. No matter how rude, how snarky, how impossible she acts, it doesn't stop him. Her horrible behavior seems to make him want her more.

When she finds herself starting to fall for him, Jade's confused. There's more to Shep than the carefree rich charmer he portrays. No way could he want a serious relationship with her - or could he?

Come one Cum all..who wants to listen to an rated R teen book????Just goes to show that even at “legally “adult doesn’t mean “actually “mature.Ok,I get it,girl is still young, still learning but dumber than sh!t right now over a major player. At 21,you can’t expect a guy to settle, hormones are still so raw.Ok,there are the”rare”few who are mature enough to carry on a relationship, but this going from 60 to zero in so short a time is just unbelievable. The female narrator is right on cue with dumbing down the female character. Was glad when the story was over.Sounded like a bad day in the life of????

Great book!

I bought this book to listen to on the beach this summer and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. It is very much a typical plot line and romance novel, but the performances kept me interested. Both a man and a woman narrate the male and female parts which adds variety and makes the story move fast. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is in the mood for a bit of romance!

Lets break the rules!!

This book did a 180. Or was it me?
Im not sure. I just know that it began annoying me and I ended up loving it. Maybe it was the whole bad boy redeemed thing, or the fact that I actually saw my younger self in Jade.
Again, Im not sure. Im just glad I didnt give up on it, because it got really good after the 50% mark.
Another thing I liked? The utter lack of drama! Dont ask me why, I just loved it.
So worth the credit!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

for sure. its a great college love story

What did you like best about this story?

it flowed right from the start, never got boring or slow...it is great.... a feel good love story.

What does Seraphine Valentine and Jack DuPont bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

they both did an outstanding job. they brought life to the story you wouldn't get out of a book... they both have great voices for male and female characters and brought them to life you could feel the emotions through there voices.

Great story!

The narrator for Shepard was great for the most part except when he was speaking as Jade. Sounded like a brother mocking his sister's voice. but was still hot and enjoyable.

Not terribly realistic

There were a lot of issues I couldn't accept.
The neighbors NEVER called the cops?
Fraternity guy never dated a girl enough to take them to spring formal?
His mother wouldn't have said any of that. she'd have offered back handed compliments and asked rude questions, but not say any of what she did.
