Excellent, practical teaching on men's purity

Good teaching, more useful and powerful than the more common "sin management" approach to men's purity. Very helpful book.

This book has a great way if showing how to look at myself and the women around me. I am a new creation in Christ and therefore I am called to be a protector and not a preditor.

Actual tools for victory, it's all about identity

I was impacted by this book because he walks through the various alternative solutions that all seem to come up short and then explains in detail how to walk in victory over lust.

The truth about our identity in Jesus Christ and practical ways to deal with sexual temptations are described in this great book by Jonathan Welton.
Get to our real identity in learning to see ourselves as God sees us, opened a new way for me to grab my identity, which usually was a unclear goal. I am a son of God and received His freedom to protect the freedom of especially our sisters and mothers in the heavenly family. Listening to the authors voice and follow his steps through his own experience with the practical excercises was worth every minute! A lot of great new revelations from the Bible on how to relate one of the biggest issues in each personal male lifes, sexual in property, with my identity and praying for our female family members.

This book was amazing! I'm buying a hard copy

this was not the normal book on men struggling with porn. the author took an original stance on the subject and moved past the just replace it with relationship or the 12 step approach. I will be reading this book with some friends to allow it to go deeper and be implemented in my life.

Life changing

This book will change your life if you listen to what it is trying to tell you. Not only does it teach you how to rid yourself of lust but also how to just walk with God.

Very good NOT bad. I give it away with a warning

I should explain. I am older. I have been a follower of Jesus for more than 40 years. Some of that time, religious ( looking for what I could / should do for God [often without asking Him]. Now I look for what We can do together, treasuring the time with Him. )

I have watched a lot of ineffective ideas put forward by the institutional church.

Men have had about all the shame and control that they can take in this area. So, when I give this book away, I tell men that it is not another shaming book filled with a mixture of hopes, fears, and lies. It is full of Jesus, and full of hope.

I know this is written as a book for men, relating to sexual temptation. It is so much more than that. It contains truth, rarely heard in the institutional church, of who Jesus is and what He has done. The truth is freeing for men caught with sexual temptation.

It would be just as freeing for a woman caught with various forms of fantasy or who struggle with disrespecting men / brothers through control or judgment. I hope Jonathan and his wife coauthor a book for women. would love to give a book written by a woman, aimed at women's sins to women so that they can know how great Jesus is too.

The illustrations that come from pornography and sexual temptations are amazingly timely, as there are many dear sons of The Father whose heart's desire is to live and honor women, but have been guided into religious practices and not into the loving arms of their creator.
