A home run for my Autisitic son

I have been looking at a lot of options and informations to help my Autisitc son...and this book was spot on for a lot of the executive functions that he needs help with. I especially appreciated the chapter on goals as that is something we are working on together. Highly recommended.

Author clearly understands the digital challenges

The relatable solutions found throughout the book made it feel less like a lecture and more like advice from someone who's been there. The author clearly understands the challenges we face with managing distractions in a digital world, and the strategies offered—especially around developing laser-sharp focus—are so timely and relevant.

These coping skills are so important!

The author created a great resource to help teams improve their executive functioning skills. Unfortunately, these characteristics appear to be a lost art in this digital age. The tips on managing time, staying organized, and building emotional intelligence are practical and easy to follow. This is a thought-provoking conversation starter between parents and teens who want to get better at handling responsibilities and navigating challenges with more confidence. Highly recommend for any teen looking to sharpen their skills!

Very needed for teens and young adults

I teach college students and am always looking for ways to help them become more critical thinkers and to enhance emotional intelligence. At first, I wondered if this would be appropriate since they are older teens or in their twenties. However, the concepts of executive functioning and self-regulation are complex and are challenging to master, even for young adults in college. I was able to use the information to add more ways of talking with my students about the importance of learning to regulate emotional responses that will help them with critical thinking and problem-solving throughout life.

Good book

A very good book helping young adults better understand their executive functioning and how they impact their daily life. The authors covers different important areas such as stress management, procrastination, motivation and emotional control.

My favorite is the chapter about the digital world as it teaches teens how it negatively impacts their life, how to have a good balance using technology and even a digital detox plan! The book also covers all the challenges & self-talk you may has such as setbacks, the belief that nothing will work for you, etc and how you can overcome them.

I like books targeting young adults as it is important that they learn about such topics/ skills from a young age to better prepare them for the future
