Always a good drama
We enjoy good clean stories and these are about as clean as you can get nowadays.

Delightful.

So nice to listen to a good story without cursing. Love the accents. This was unusual because the setting was not Evan’s hometown. It was nice for a change. I think I have listened to the entire series.

New depths

This installment is a very worthy and intimate look at Evan's personal life and character. It's the raison d'etre for who Evans is as a man and an officer. It also brings new depth to his fiancée's character and flavor to their relationship. Nicely done!
P.S. Per the earlier reviewer complaint on language: it was extremely limited and situational, and it clearly was not the modus operandi of the main characters.

A big fan of Constable Evans, but..

I’ve listened to all the previous audiobooks in this series and enjoyed them immensely. And I enjoyed this one, too - but a bit less so. The performance was on par, but the story, in my opinion, wasn’t up to snuff. Before the story was halfway through I was sure I knew who the culprit was, and unfortunately I was correct. This storyline was just too predictable. Hoping for more “mystery” from the next one!

Enjoyable series

I did skip book 6 because I get tired of authors making fun of church going people and then their views on politics and uplifting things like Druidism. So I saved myself the headache. But I’m on to book 8 now.

Bronwen the new detective

I was so frustrated that Evan couldn't stop being a cop while on vacation. It was too much., I did however enjoy Bronwen undercover.

Alway a good story teller - listened over a few days while overseas. Kept wanting to know what happens next
