About this listen

The Boudreaux Series: Sexy. Intriguing. Easy.

Callie Mills never intended to return to New Orleans and the life she left behind more than a decade ago. There was no need to open old wounds when she had the life she'd worked hard for in Denver. But when she's fired from her awesome job in Colorado and her father dies, she has no choice but to return home to run the derelict bar left to her in the heart of the French Quarter. Callie must not only face bad memories but turn The Odyssey into something she can be proud of. And who better to help bring in crowds of people than Declan Boudreaux?

Declan is a sought-after musician who knows he's good at what he does and loves doing it. Known to pack the house, he also loves women and doesn't expect to be knocked back a step by the beautiful new owner of The Odyssey. Callie is sharp, gorgeous, and funny and makes him yearn for something he never has before...commitment.

But when Callie's able to turn the business around with renovations, making it one of the hottest bars in the Quarter, will she sell out and leave her past behind once and for all, or will Declan be able to convince her that's she's where she needed to be all along...in his arms?

Sebastian York perfect narration

Any additional comments?

Story was good. Worth a credit. Female narrator was good but Sebastian York the male narrator was perfection. He captured the personality of the male character and made him even more enjoyable than the book.

Two love birds

I just love this story. They both learned how to communicate and recognize how much they have to give. Love Rachel and Sebastian together.

I love this story

I absolutely love the way Kristen intertwines characters from the With me in Seattle Series. It is one of my favorite series and it was nice to have some of the characters make a cameo. This story was sweet.

Great book!!

I loved this book because Callie is a woman that do what she has do to without waiting for anyone to help, I love a heroine like that!!

Loved the crossover between this series and the Seattle series. The Seattle series is hard to beat.

The easy series

Out of all the books, so far i liked this one best. I still have 3 more to go but this one is top. The Callie isn’t as whiney as the other female leads and i that

Sweet love.

Easy Melody was such a fun story. My heart was bursting with joy and excitement to read how much Declan loved Kali. Declan was charming, funny and so romantic, he was a love bug. Easy Melody was sweet and romantic. Loved it. Narrators were perfect.

A HEARTWARMING, EASY GOING & WELL PACED LOVE STORY

The thing I love about Kristen Proby's books are that she creates such loveable characters who pull at your heartstrings and you just can't help but get drawn into their intoxicating world. And that's the case with this third book in the Boudreaux series where we meet feisty and independent Callie as she tries to salvage her late Father's Bar and, in doing so, she meets the handsome, sexy and talented Musician Declan Boudreaux. She knows he's a 'no strings' womanizer but the sexual chemistry and mutual attraction are too strong to deny and, when it ignites into a passionate steamy night, Callie knows she's in big trouble.

But misunderstandings soon lead to confusion and hurt pride which brings a halt to their romance.... but it doesn't dampen the mutual attraction. Declan doesn't want to want the beautiful and feisty Bar Owner however he can't get her, and her delicious body, out of his mind but he doesn't know how to do relationships and is easily distracted.... so the calls he should've made never happened. Declan wasn't looking for any commitments and Callie already had more than enough already but they have so much in common, they just click and there's playful and sexy banter between them too but Declan must decide what he wants and do some major damage control.

A very enjoyable easy flowing sexy romance with no major dramas as these two characters try to understand and accept each other as they go from friends to lovers. The secondary cast of family and friends enrich the storyline and make it more entertaining too. Dual POV's and, although the narration was good, the narrator's voices for Declan didn't match because he had a strong Southern drawl when the Chapters were narrated by Rachel F. but, when Sebastian Y. narrated them there was no Southern cadence at all.... not a big problem but just a pet peeve of mine.

Worth a credit? This was a sweet, drama free, hot contemporary romance that was skilfully created by one of my favorite Authors and it had just enough angst and bumps in the road to keep me all tangled up and concerned about the HEA's for two loveable main characters. YES, yet another creditworthy addition by KP.

Woman narrator's voice

Loved the story and characters.

Sebastian York is my favorite male narrator, hands down. I didn't mind Rachel's portrayal of Callie, but was completely put off with her portrayal of Declan. Could not wait for it to be over, and that makes it hard to enjoy.
