Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
It’s 1984, and the invisible mists are falling, mists that cause people to slip into dreamless slumber—sleeps from which most, but not all, awaken. Those who do wake live in fear of the next mist, and the next, each a little longer and more dangerous than the last. Alternating between the perspectives of a kleptomaniac waitress named Cora and her twelve-year-old friend Glass, Sleepaway depicts a small-town America turned alarming. This is a place where loved ones are lost to a state between life and death; where denial, delusion, and desperation take hold of those remaining.

Is this the real life… or is this just fantasy
Throughout listening to this book I tried to think of what it reminded me of… Be it sucking down soy sauce with Jason Pargin or falling into the other worlds of PKD. In the end I settled on Hunter S. Thompson. Strapping on the recorder and committing to word the events taking place in a wonderland where Alice is found lying in the hedgerows with a note next to her hand saying “eat me”… she probably shouldn’t have done that. This book is real life brushing against fiction. If you were ever a JW it will assault the senses. If you are ever exJW you will find the Easter eggs… boy howdy you will. Last night I dreamed of being in a KH and wondering if I should just go back for sake of community and not belief… this book probably inspired that. If you ever feel like god hates you… hate him back. It’s a book about revenge… it’s a book about the “Hate” of Christian love… because nothing hurts more than that type of love. It’s a book about revenge and the power of 616 praise Nero. It sticks the landing. Read this book. Now I’m gonna go get something to eat.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
