I liked the main characters

Oh wow!! So good!
This book starts out with a bang and the action never stops! What a page turner! Faith filled and oh so good! Can you guess? I didn’t! Old friends, Detective James trues to protect Nurse Laney… how does that turn out? Must read!!

A great must read series in the making
The author twists greed, revenge, deceit into unexpected twists. A longing for love that turns out while under seige and fire. The desperate need to forgiveness and leaving the past behind.

After so many stories - still an original plot
Still enjoying Eason's books. I always expect plots to repeat themselves but so far they haven't. Although the romance plot is fairly cliche, it's tried and true for a reason. Fast paced as always - messages about God interwoven without being preachy, which is appreciated, the book kept me interested. The narration had a bit of a computerize sound to it at times. Enough to be annoying but not enough to make me stop listening. Not sure that it was the reader but more like the recording. Her voices were distinguishable and mostly appropriate to character.

Suspense with romance & Christ!
Both male & female protagonist experienced loss & minimal support.
Neither one could have made it without their belief in Christ. The female protagonist started out strong then we started to see her strength & self esteem being eroded away. The stuff she was going through would bring the strongest person to their knees.
We got to see the male protagonist’s fear and doubt which he didn’t show to the world or family/friends.
I actually respected the characters as they dealt with their struggles which never affected their faith. I look forward to more in this series.

Enjoyed
First book by this author. I will read more. Twists and turns, kept me engaged. I love how she weaved God and prayer into the story line and the budding love story was not filled with sex, smut, and cursing. Thank you for that.
