Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) var en irländsk dramatiker, författare och poet. Han är kanske mest känd för boken "Dorian Grays porträtt". På grund av sin homosexuella läggning stötte Wilde ofta på hårt motstånd och blev till följd av detta även dömd till fängelse. Han blev endast 46 år gammal.
