About this listen

Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you don't have a clue? If so, Akira Dumai has something to tell you: That's a lie; we all have to walk in a divine order.

Ever felt trapped in your circumstances? Ever been locked in a vicious cycle of discontentment? Have you ever wanted or needed something at a specific time in your life but had the dreadful misfortune of not receiving it? Why have your plans failed or been delayed?

Take a journey with the author as she depicts these moments in time through her poetic prose style of writing - Divine Purpose of Life takes the listener through the many dimensions of life, love, spirituality, addiction, and infidelity. The author gives riveting personal accounts of the many processes she has endured while God was working out his plans in her life.

Akira's compelling and invitational writing will draw you to the voice of God who speaks into your life saying: I have plans for you, trust me, I am with you, and I am driving your life into a divine purpose according to my will.

Very thought provoking and insightful

I thought it presented some really real and relatable moments especially for a certain culture and class of individuals. It is amazing to see her journey and how she overcame. The only part I disagreed with is the apart about not taking medication when she went to the psych ward. I certainly believe in God being the ultimate source, but I also believe he provides us resources. Medication for mental health is not always meant to be long term, some are just used to help with chemical imbalances. Such as other chronic diseases once you improve your health or the imbalance has been reversed you may not need the medication anymore. I just want to help dispel the stigma that therapy or antidepressants are not needed when you have God. They can still be useful and even more so with God.
