One of best parenting books AND great general advice!
It’s pure coincidence that I downloaded this book out of curiosity at the same time as my third child started first grade, and his problems with school began. This book was so helpful in confirming my fears and instincts that his situation wasn’t right, the teacher’s old school tactics were damaging his outlook on school and life. I’m so glad I didn’t have to rely on my guesses that he can thrive in a different environment, this book was there to hold my hand. I would highly recommend it to anyone caring for a child and wish I read it a couple of decades ago when my first baby was born.

Good book but false advertising
This is a book about how to sympathize with your child. It has no advice for actual discipline, but it's still a good read for how to see things from your child's perspective and why you should yell less.
