Amazing

When I listen to an LJ Shen book, I know I am in for a treat. This books in not only steamy, but smartly written and has a real life feel to it. Celian, the boss, smart, good looking and wealthy only looks for one night stands. Jude needs an escape from her life, her family responsibilities and just a good time. When these to hook up though, it's so much more than that. I loved this book for several reasons. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts. It makes the listen easy and smooth. The real life problems, including grief and despair as well as health and financial hits so many categories that each one is easy to relate to. It doesn't matter the class of the character, we all have similar problems, and Shen shows us this with her masterful writing.

The narration is amazing. Grace Grant is perfect with her depiction of Jude. She gives her that shield up feeling, and has it melt flawlessly as the story goes on. Jacob Morgan gives that sexy, aloof feel of Celian, until he doesn't and you have fallen for him. It's an incredible performance.

So much win

This book is hilarious, swoony, and hot. This is one of my favorite books by this author.

Loved this book! Loved the story telling, loved the twist that I didn’t see coming, loved everything about it.

Good tension, too little sex

Wish there were more sex scenes, and that the main character got at least a LITTLE make over at some point. Love Jacob Morgan’s narration.

Great listen!

This book was hot but most importantly it was SOOOO funny. Jacob Morgan is my favorite narrator and he really brought Celian to life! I was rooting for him, then her (Jude}, then Celian, again. The audio was great. I was in awe of how well he narrated this story. I love reading all of L.J.'s novels and I hope this series continues with the other characters in this book. I highly recommend it!

so much conflict without a war. Great read.

love this author's work. different, creative, gets the other characters involved but even with so many personalites keeps them involved and three dimensional.narrators were perfect match for the author's intent.

loved it!! I actually read it immediately again after finishing it the first time. keeping in my library. Celian & Judith make a mesmerizing couple. Their characters are well developed and display strength

Good book

Overall good. Hard to initially get into and not the female narrator I would have chose. It took me a few days to actually get into the book and finish it as when I first heard the narrator I didn't feel as if she fit the bill for the character. Once I got over that, I was able to finish it. It's a good book and both narrators did a great job.

- a well mixed enjoyable read.
It's a journey worth taking.
