Excellent

This book was just excellent. I loved every minute of it. It was almost 16 hours but I hardly noticed. Nash is a dream once he gets over himself. I didn't really like Reed all that much and didn't really think he was all that good of a friend to Emery. He always let his girlfriend cut her down and didn't really seem to care what she had going on in her life. That is really the only complaint I had about this book. Was one of the best books I've read in 2019,

You are the Lightning...

Wow. This story far exceeded my expectations. I was not sure once I started it. Though it is a long audiobook, I feel like it goes by fast. This love story is definitely worth the credit.

Devious Lies

This is such a complicated and messy love story that you can't help get wrapped up in! Parker S. Huntington does a fantastic job with keeping you on your toes! I love that Asher Black and his wife made a visit to the story. Its funny how lies spiral out of control fast. Sometimes when you find out all you want to do is protect the ones you love yet then you become part of that lie. I enjoyed the story it was a bit long but I thought is was mostly fast paced and couldn't wait to get back to it! Fantastic narration!.

"Amazing Story"

I lover every second of this book. Parker S Huntington wrote magic! First time listening to this author but it will not be my last. The way she put the words together, told this story was just fantastic. I was drawn into this story from the start and could not let it go. I absolutely loved the narration, Sebastian is one of my favorites but I had not heard Desiree before this, she was magnificent.
This is a must listen you will not be disappointed!

Such a beautiful book! Whoa! What a ride! Phenomenal! Magic! Bravo! Oh boy! My heart hurts! I thought I had a favorite book! No I hadn’t! This is my favorite book for ever! Sebastian York and Desiree are fantastic! Beautiful! Just beautiful!!

Not everything is as it seems

This story does take you up, down, in, out, over, under. Meaning not everything and everyone is as it seems in the beginning. Sebastian York's narration is great as always, especially when they are talking about audio books and - Sebastian York the narrator - that was pretty awesome.
The characters grew up with each other, know each other so well, yet Nash and Emery didn't really know each other. It's an odd thing to know someone's favorite sandwich and their odd habits, but not know everything in their heart.
As they learn their hearts and secrets, their 'hatred' they developed softened, or opened into what it really was.

Such a great read! Don’t miss this one!

Devious Lies was a reread for me this time around. I found myself thinking about the book about 6 months later, trying to remember certain things that happened. It started as a “I’m just going to skim through this” to a full on read and listen because I had previously bought the audiobook during a sale.

The first time I read this, I don’t think I fully appreciated the layers of complexity and overlap in this novel, the intertwining stories, the depth. It’s a long one, but that just means you get so much story, and so much detail on many pieces of the story. The lead characters are so great, and their growth and healing is authentic to their characters. I love Nash and Emery, the perfect enemies to lovers. The audio book is great, although I wasn’t prepared for North Carolina accents. Knowing both narrators voices, it caught me off guard, but I very quickly loved what it added to the telling of the story. You can never go wrong with Sebastian York and Desireé Ketchum. If you are a Sebastian York fan, you will have a little extra fun in Chapter 41 with some audiobook discussion. This book is a must read, or a must listen, or really both!!

Excellent book!

This was my first listen by Parker S Huntington. And she did not disappoint. Nash & Emery's story had so many highs & lows. And their chemistry was off the hook! Amazing narration by Desiree Ketchum & Sebastian York.
