About this listen

When Destiny McCree wakes up beside a dead man on an Oregon beach, she knows only this: she has to keep moving, keep searching, and keep one step ahead of the forces that have been pursuing her from the heart of Scotland to this isolated spot. Why? The death of her lover has left her alone, with little memory of her past. A glimmering serpent-shaped ring is the one clue she has---and a bargaining chip in a most dangerous game.

Enter Trae Wilson, a master thief with a sexy, knowing grin and a secret agenda of his own. Destiny and Trae both have powers far beyond the human---and both are running for their lives. Together they're riding a tide of danger, magic, and lust...but with killers stalking their every move, they must use any means necessary, even each other, to survive---until the shocking secret of one woman's destiny finally unravels.

couldn't even finish listening to this book.

worst narrator I've ever heard. I couldn't even finish listening. complete and total monotone. Happy scenes and dead scenes all in the same voice. funny moments where even worse. this is the first time I've ever not finished a book and would like my money back.

Typical paranormal romance story

Keri Arthur is very good at sexually explicit romance stories, often with supernatural beings populating them. I would put her in the Sherilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Laurell K. Hamilton group of writers. I was attracted to this book because it was a departure from the usual vampire and werewolf story. This time we have dragons. The book starts off great, but it soon falls down to your average paranormal romance novel. That may not be a problem for lovers of the genre, but I just wished Keri Arthur could have stayed up above the average mark.

I liked the female narrator. I think she did a good job with the material.

Eh, it was okay

I like Keri Arthur's writing, just not sure how much I liked this particular story. Felt it was a bit slow in spots and not sure I'd listen to this again. It was a predictable ending and no real surprises.

Love this story

I bought this audiobook because Audible had a sale on the books that Cassandra Campbell narrates. I hadn't heard her narration before and absolutely fell in love with her. She does such a wonderful job of portraying the characters to their fullest and definitely separating each individual character by different voices and accents. The story was awesome as well. I really enjoyed Destiny's and Trae's story. They are very different individuals, yet they mesh really well. I am going to finish this Myth and Magic Series and move on to other Keri Arthur books and Cassandra Campbell narrated books. Keri did a really great job with the story. She gave us suspense, thrill and romance in one neatly created story.

I'm trying but it's boring

i don't get the relationship between the main characters and I've tried 'reading' this twice now. The dialogue is so implausible that I end up editing it in my mind. I've enjoyed other books by Keri Arthur, but this one is just so bad I don't think I can do it. Unless you're a diehard fan, save your credit.

Couldn't get into it..

I just couldn't get into this one. I'm not overly found of stories with amnesia plots, and this one dragged on longer than I found entertaining.
