About this listen

Fate stripped everything from me, forcing me to face my worst nightmare.

As the adopted and weakest member of my pack, I’ve always been an outcast and mistreated, especially since I've never been able to shift into my animal form.

Every time I try to find a way to escape my personal hell, my pack leader stops me, vowing that I'll never be free from him.

Then, the worst happens.

A group of my pack members attack me.

Alone, outnumbered, and stuck in my human form, I'll fight for my life even though there’s no hope for survival.

Until a group of unfamiliar wolves come to my aid.

The sexiest and strongest of them, Bodey, is adamant to protect me.

And something inside me tugs toward him almost unnaturally.

But it turns out things aren't what they seem.

There might be something more to my past than I knew, and Bodey might be the very person I need protecting from.

Get this steamy and suspenseful forced-proximity, "touch her and unalive", broody-male, fated-mates, royal wolf-shifter romance today!

Decent.

The narration was great. The story could and should be shorter. Too much of repetitive information. Will read the next one though.

Enjoyed the story

I enjoyed the plot twists and the build of the characters. It definitely ended differently than what I was suspecting.

No one said life was fair

The narrator is good. She has a strong voice, good pitch, and infection when speaking for different characters. All this makes for easy listening, while following along with the tale. The story kept me on my toes and stirred me up.
Callie had no memory of her early years of about four. As a shifter she is one of the weakest. Although she has never been able to let her wolf free to run, her smart mouth and determined attitude won’t allow her to back down from a fight even when she is outnumbered. For years she has been forced to do the worst jobs within the pack and bullied by all. So, when she is found beyond the boundaries set by Zack, her arrogant, abusive Alpha, by five members of her pack, including her adopted sister, she runs. The five, all in wolf form give chase, intending to make sport of her. In her human form Callie doesn’t have a chance of escaping them. Back against a tree, Callie stands up to the five refusing to be submissive, infuriated they relentlessly attack her. She may well have perished if not for the four wolves from outside her pack step in the fray and drive off her attackers.
The leader is Bodey, a powerful Alpha of the territory and a friend of the future King. As sending off the five, Bodey and his companions bring Callie to their home to assist with her healing. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, Zack wants her back under his control. Fearing for the treatment of her family and herself if she doesn’t return voluntarily, still not completely healed, Callie returns to her pack. Bodey is drawn to Callie and watches over her. All the while trying to assure himself and his friends it is simply because she has been so mistreated. Standing against Zack, a continuous, mean spirted leader at this time isn’t a smart idea. The packs were once watched over by a King and Queen, but they died seventeen years ago, and Steven, their son, will finally come of age to rule in two weeks. The Queen of an adjoining territory has long coveted the neighboring territory but with a new King about to be crowned, she will make her move to get what she wants by killing him and his most powerfully Alphas.
The story is fast paced. For the first part I had to keep myself moving since I wanted to get my hands on Callie’s bullies, along with her family members who were less than supportive. Though some of Callie’s problems may come to a conclusion more will come forth. In the continuing tale Callie will have others including a mate to stand by her. The tale ends with a cliffhanger, so get ready for more suspense, romance, danger, betrayal and hopefully answers to questions I was asking myself. I can easily recommend this for your reading enjoyment and a good read. The e-edition will be available on Friday September 15th.

Promising start!

Callie is an orphaned shifter who has gone through so much in her pack. She hasn't been treated very well and my heart just ached for her. During one of those unfortunate times, Callie is rescued by four shifters and oh heavens. They are a fun pack of werewolves and they bring enough to the storyline to make me want to love them all. I can easily see how the Twisted Fate Trilogy can turn into several spin offs. This series is very promising and I'm here for the long ride! All of the four alpha's have my heart. I can't wait to see what happens next especially after that ending!

Perfect for lovers of angst, paranormal romance, werewolf shifters, and witches. This is a promising start to a fantastic new series!

Awesome!

I really enjoyed this book. Hate that I have to wait for the next one. Im hoping that Zeke dies painfully or is forced to go through the abuse that he forced on a child.

Wonderful start to this new series!

Jen did it AGAIN! First let me start by saying, don't start this book if you have to get up the next day! I binged all 11 hrs. of this book in 1 day...YES it was that good! I loved the new world Jen created and the character development was amazing, even though I wanted to throttle most of the characters for the way Callie was treated. Her struggles and hardships made her character, but it was still difficult stomaching all she endured. The only downfall was the ending...BRUTAL CLIFFHANGER! Although I will say, Jen gives us some easter eggs throughout the book that gives a little comfort when reading the ending. Can't WAIT for the second book!
