In „Der Drachenbeinthron“ wird die Geschichte des unbeholfenen Küchenjungen Simon erzählt. Gegen seinen Willen wird er in Geschehnisse verwickelt, die das Schicksal von Osten Ard für immer verändern sollen. Das Hörbuch ist der fulminante Auftakt einer einzigartigen Serie, die von den Abenteuern Simons berichtet.
Tad Williams erzählt die Geschichte eines Kampfes um die Thronfolge anspruchsvoll und bildgewaltig.
