They say that the cure for love will make me happy and safe forever. And I've always believed them. Until now. Now everything has changed. Now, I'd rather be infected with love for the tiniest sliver of a second than live a hundred years suffocated by a lie.
There was a time when love was the most important thing in the world. People would go to the end of the earth to find it. They would tell lies for it. Even kill for it. Then, at last, they found the cure.

You should definitely read it!!!!
I never thought it would be good but when I start reading couldn't stop until I finished the book. The author is very talented.
An amazing book!!!!

Any additional comments?
Congratulations to Oliver on writing a dystopian novel that does not have a love triangle. Also, for writing a book that actually made sense to continue as a trilogy (or at least to a second book) and not dragging out the first story forever for the sake of making it into a trilogy/series. This is set in a world that sees love as a disease, at the age of 18 you get cured of the Deliria and you get to live your life content. Not necessarily happy, but content.I thought some very good points were brought up in this book. What is the absence of love? Hate or indifference, and which is worse. I also appreciated that she not only focused on romantic love but familial love, the love in friendship and the love of things and beings not human. So why three stars instead of four? The grammar in this book was not always what it should have been (e.g. "his eyes literally danced"). The narrator for the audiobook was irritating. And while a good book, it wasn't fantastic. However, it was intriguing and the ending was good so I will be listening to the sequel.Good book, average narrator

Would you listen to Delirium again? Why?
I love this book and have read it several times but was disappointed in the presentation of the audio book. The characters did not come to life for me, poor choice of narrator. What other book might you compare Delirium to and why?
Replica by Lauren Oliver or Carve the mark by Veronica Roth. What three words best describe Sarah Drew’s voice?
