About this listen

When Dekker Knight and his mercenary crew are hired to ferry an alien diplomat to one of Jupiter's moons, they think they've taken a cakewalk mission. They even allow an old friend to tag along. While things appear odd on Io, things are far worse than they realize: Terrorist activities threaten to fracture the tectonic plates and destroy everything on the surface - and the Dozen are stuck without access to their ship!

Even what passes for the local law seems caught up in the chaos, responding to a slew of false flags...almost as if something far more sinister has engineered some kind of galactic distraction.

Check out the Dekker's Dozen series, which has been called "The Magnificent Seven in space" and a Joss Whedon-esque replacement for the beloved, bygone Firefly.

A Great Thriller

This book was a pleasant surprise. This is the first Sci-Fi thriller that I have read. At first I was a bit confused because the chapters jump around. I found that this book had a cold brilliance that I appreciated despite that fact that I normally lean toward stories with a happier tone.

A Great Story

After putting on my headphones and pushing play, I closed my eyes and listened to the first scene. By minute two, I was hooked. Points of Possibility is the best work of science fiction I have read this year.

Pretty Solid

I loved the short stories within the larger plot. The book was fast-paced and had good action. The character development was solid too. It’s been a while since I wanted to finish a book. Great work!

Well Done

What I enjoy about this book beyond the great storytelling is the variety of story types available: Sci-fi, horror and just plain strange. A lot of options to keep your interest, which Christopher D. Schmitz does well. Worth the audiobook, people; I'm glad to have discovered another writer to follow!
