Publisher's summary

Are we alone? It was only a matter of time before the truth was revealed....

Commander David Bryce is scheduled to lead a routine re-supply run for the Orbital Development Group (ORB) to the fledgling colony on Mars. Without warning, he’s taken away by government agents and told the mission parameters have changed.

They’ve discovered something. And it’s drifting closer to Earth.

Atlas Donovan tirelessly hunts for an artifact, and tracks the piece to Lake Como, Italy. After the recent news from ORB, Atlas is more drawn to the trail than ever. He continues his search, determined to uncover the significance of the strange markings, and more importantly, where the artifacts hail from.

As both Atlas and David draw near to their objectives, they realize a secret organization is working against them; a clandestine force with so much influence, they seem impossible to oppose.

Are we alone?

No, and they’ve been here before....

From Beyond is an action-packed science fiction thriller from the best-selling author duo Jasper T. Scott and Nathan Hystad.

Really good Book

This one is like watching a movie. Plenty of action with characters you actually are concerned with!

Excellent

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I've been a fan of Nathan Hystad for a while, but I don't believe I've read anything by Jasper T. Scott. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, then characters were well developed. The story came built with the separate characters, but came together well. Overall, a very interesting book. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

A Captivating but excessively Labyrinthine Plot

While I am not certain whether this audiobook will meet with a typical science-fiction enthusiast's style, I do recommend it for those who are hardcore fans.

Good listen and fun story

I like the story, it kept me engaged. The narrator had good energy. The story is plausible which I like.

Good enough to continue

I would equate it to a B+; entertaining enough, action sequences were easy to follow, any violence moved the story forward without being gratuitous, and there were a couple good twists. I could have used more complexity with the science, but it was pretty good overall. Maybe the first book is just laying the foundation to more complexity later on? Ray Porter is a rockstar narrator, as always.

Great performance of a poor story

The book started out well with a lot of intrigue but it fails for me on many points:

The science is all over the map and doesn’t seem well thought out

Many of the characters are way too stereotypical and bad cliches like a video game into

Several characters defy themselves with no second thought like earlier actions didn’t happen. I found them unbelievable.

No answers at all are to be learned about any of the characters or the enemies.

Even Ray Porter couldn’t save this book for me and that’s saying a lot.

Very good

Sometimes I don't want to write a review, I just want to rate it. Why oh why aufible do you put a minimum word limit to rate a story?

Could have been a good book

Atlas and David’s stories don’t mesh. Not even at the end. Nothing seems viable. Not something I would waste my time on again or even read the next book in the series. To much hype over this book. Slow passed with nothing exciting or thought provoking.
