About this listen

As an American in Dublin, limo driver Megan Malone will need the luck of the Irish to avoid a head-on collision - with a killer....

Life has been nonstop excitement for American Army veteran Megan Malone ever since she moved to Ireland and became a driver for Dublin's Leprechaun Limousine Service. She's solved a murder and adopted two lovable Jack Russell puppies. Currently, she's driving world-class champion golfer Martin Walsh, and he's invited her to join him while he plays in a tournament at a prestigious Irish locale. Unfortunately, there's a surprise waiting for her on the course - a body floating in a water hazard.

Everyone loved golfer Lou MacDonald, yet he clearly teed off someone enough to be murdered. Martin seems to be the only one with a motive. However, he also has an alibi: Megan and hundreds of his fans were watching him play. Now, with a clubhouse at a historical lodge full of secrets and a dashing Irish detective by her side, Megan must hurry to uncover the links to the truth before the real killer takes a swing at someone else....

Good story, bad reading.

Having paid for it, I stuck with it, but the performance is really awful. Really ruined. As much as I’d like to see what happens next, maybe I’ll read it. Can not listen to this performer again. ( Too bad, the first book reader was much better).

Great!

Great follow up to the first in this series!

When Megan finds a dead body floating in a water hazard at a golf course, will she be able to help find the killer?

I really enjoy Megan as a character. She is fun to read about and I like seeing Ireland from her point of view. I also enjoy the fact that she is a veteran. I feel like so many veterans in books are men, it's a nice change to have a woman. I also like all of the other characters in this series. It's fun to read about all of them. The mystery in this story was great. It kept me guessing the whole time. It was so twisty! I loved it! I can't wait to read the next book!

Voice of the lead character horrific

The narrators delivery of the main characters voice is shockingly bad. Whiny and petty. Ruined the whole book for me.

LOVE THIS SERIES

This is a highly entertaining and well written cozy mystery with engaging characters and a fast paced plot. I started this book this morning and didn't stop until I finished it. I can't wait for the next book.

Decent little mystery- annoying accent.

Enjoyed! Place and action descriptions well done. Unpleasant, affected accent for American main character .

Megan

Needs an older not quite so teenie bopper voice and a Texas accent--in her mind not quite so British. A Texan has a drawl that doesnt didappear, even when she is laying on the Texas accent it is missing. Great story, great a Irish accents.

Entertaining

This book was quite entertaining. The characters were well developed, but it is hard to get past the odd British accent of the narrator and the winey American voice of Megan. Hopefully the series will continue possibly with an Irish voice.

Narration detracted from story

The story was enjoyable and provided unseen twists. The narrator's thick English accent detracted from the Irish story and character differentiation.

If it aint broke...

If it ain't broke... don't fix it! In this case the first narrator was great. Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Then I got to Book 2, and there's a new narrator. I don't mind her overall, EXCEPT when the main character Megan Malone has to speak... which unfortunately is OFTEN (as main characters do.) Terrible, Awful, So bad I can't even describe. Sounds like Jennifer Coolidge trying to fake a Texas accent. Literally makes me cringe. I will finish the series, but I am super sad to see that the first narrator doesn't return and we're stuck with this one for the rest. Sigh...

Good story, poor performance

The story was up to par:), but the narration was not. The Irish characters were okay, but the main character, written to be strong and independent came across as weak and whiny.
