About this listen

Do you ever wonder what’s really going on inside someone else's head?

It's a common curiosity.

If you're all about getting into the nitty-gritty of why people think and act the way they do in different situations, you might want to narrow your focus a bit. And that's where dark psychology comes in. It's like the deep dive into the more shadowy corners of human behavior.

Intriguing, right?

My name is Shannon West. I like to think of yourself as being your friendly neighborhood psychologist (well, maybe not your actual neighborhood, but you get the idea). Ever since I can remember, I've been fascinated by what makes people tick.

I'm all about diving deep into the gritty details of human behavior from the more narrow perspective of dark psychology, which is a specific branch of psychology. From the quirks of our minds to the hidden motivations behind our actions, I decided to write this book to shed some light on the darker corners of psychology.

Intrigued? I hope you are because I wish to explore this concept with you together.

Dark psychology dives into the shady corners of human behavior, like manipulation, deceit, and persuasion. While ‘regular psychology’ (if there is such a term) is about understanding how we humans tick and interact, dark psychology goes deeper, exploring the sneaky tactics people use to get what they want.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Sounds kinda sketchy, right?" But here's the thing: knowing about dark psychology isn't about becoming a master manipulator yourself. It's about protecting yourself from those who might try to pull a fast one on you.

Think of it like this: the better you understand the tricks people play, the better you can spot 'em coming and protect yourself. Because let's face it, we're all exposed to this stuff daily, whether we realize it or not. So why not arm yourself with the knowledge to navigate those murky waters?

After all, knowledge is power, my friend.

Now, I get it, talking about "dark" stuff can make anyone feel a bit uneasy. But here's the real deal: understanding dark psychology is like putting on a suit of armor against those who might try to mess with your head.

Whether we like it or accept it or not, people are playing mind games with us all the time.

Take a second to think about it: have you ever felt pressured to buy something you didn't really need? Or found yourself doing someone a favor, only to realize later you got played?

In this book, we're going to cover the following:
  • Fully understanding what dark psychology is and what it is not
  • Why people act the way they do
  • How to ethically people watch
  • How people express themselves silently via micro gestures and body language
  • How to identify when someone is thinking the opposite of what they speak
  • How to realize when someone is manipulating you
  • How to protect yourself against that manipulation and counter the person’s manipulation without being manipulative yourself
  • How to persuade other people ethically while maintaining good and positive intentions on your part
  • How you can ‘speak’ without using words yourself

Remember, it's not the tactics themselves that are shady. Instead, it's all about how you use them. With the right intentions, you'll find that mastering the art of dark psychology can actually make you a better friend, partner, and overall human being.

Another shallow one

another book on manipulation with the whole "It's for your protection" bs spin.. barely scrapes the surface on the self-analysis of why people do things but not with any good examples of how they orchestrate their manipulation

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
