Death and pain brought them together.

Vengeance and darkness might tear them apart.

Kade Maxwell will do anything to save Lacey Robinson from her past - and from herself. A task that is harder than he ever realized as fate has something else in store.

Good book poor narration

This is the second book in the series. Wanted to enjoy it but I found that the narration really kept me from enjoying the novel. It might just be me but I found the narrator boring and uninspired. I was distracted so much that I was not able to finish the book. Received this book free of charge from the author narrator or publisher for an honest review

Extention of Book 1 - I Didn't Have Patience...

...too long, not deep and juvenile.

If mature scenes and strong language were removed it could be Young Adult. Set in/around High School activities.

Amanda Fugate-Moss; performance was almost perfect. It kept me interested as long as I listened.

*I received this work in exchange for my review; good, bad or meh. I've written all 3 kinds.

Book 2

What made the experience of listening to Dare to Dream the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed Dare to Kiss, so I was excited to listen to Dare to Dream. It is a continuation of Lacey and Kade. I love to continue with them .

Dare to Dream

Any additional comments?

Baseball, mystery, suspense, romance, sex, the mob, and family loyalty all combined in an entertaining and enjoyable story.

Even though I did not read the first book I had no problem understanding what was going on in the story. This is a continuation of Kade and Lacey's story.

Even though this Kade and Lacey's story, the bigger backdrop is the family loyalty. Love that it really comes through throughout the entire story.

Lacey is a fantastic character. Strong and vulnerable at the same time.
Kade Maxwell the bad boy. Protective, loyal, head over heels in love with Lacey.
Both have suffered tragic losses in their families and are both still suffering.

Kade and Lacey are trying to work out what they expect of each other. Lacey wanting to know everything and Kade keeping some secrets in order to protect her. The story reveals the who and why in regards to the murder of Lacey's mother and sister.

Amanda Fugate-Moss did a pretty good job with the narration. I enjoyed her character voices both male and female. Nice even pace. While her character voices were good there are several mispronounced words. Every time she announced the chapters I cringed.
Audio needs to be fixed there are repeated lines in chapter 31 and 32.

Great twist, not entirely predictable!

Would you consider the audio edition of Dare to Dream to be better than the print version?

I was gifted this audiobook in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I haven't read the print version.

What other book might you compare Dare to Dream to and why?

I don't know that I can think of one off the top of my head...

Have you listened to any of Amanda Fugate-Moss’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Just the original book in this series "Dare to Kiss" and I still think she was excellent, perfect as the female character!

Tho occasionally Kade sounds kinda nerdy and less than the super hot bf heirs described to be - the clear differentiation between characters is amazing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did find myself lingering to finish a chapter or wearing my headphones in the house when normally I would not.

Any additional comments?

I liked the twist - I did not see the plot coming and tho the conclusion was kinda generic it didn't feel that way during the story- definitely recommend this book, and hope for a third!

Great audio book!!

Loved the action-packed danger, mystery, and love for their family. I also liked that you had a couple girls on the baseball team. Really enjoyed listening to this audio book!! Couldn't put it down. Highly recommend.

Good story, terrible narration

While I've enjoyed this series, the narration was not great in the first book and horrible in this book. Not only did the lead female sound like a fearful mouse, many of the other characters voices were bad. I could have dealt with that but the narrator mispronounced at least half a dozen words, forcing me to stop and think what the word should be. Ridiculous!

The woman's voice is so depressing.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

If I didn't like this author I would have returned the book. The narrator Amanda Fugate-Moss is so slow. I struggled to get through this.

What did you like best about this story?

The story was good but, Amanda Fugate-Moss really put me off. I'll read this author again but stay far away from Amanda Fugate-Moss. This is the first time I have ever disliked a narrator so much.

What didn’t you like about Amanda Fugate-Moss’s performance?

Terrible. Draining.

Dare to Dream: The Maxwell Series, Book 2

“This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”

This is book 2 in the Maxwell series. We get to revisit the brothers and friends. Lots of suspense and mystery about things that began in book 1. We travel this road with Lacey and Kade hoping they will end up happy and together. Guess we will need another book to find out. It kept me intrigued.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.
