Another masterpiece

I have loved every single book of this series (so far). I can’t wait for the next one. They leave you guessing the whole time but not in an annoying way. The wholesome nature of the characters really endears you to them. I love that Stagg gives you just enough legal procedural detail to make sense but doesn’t bury you in proverbial paperwork. As long as Stagg is writing Nate and company stories, I will gladly be a reader/listener, along for the ride

I have come to really love this series. Found by accident, but fully invested. This book did not disappoint and I'm bummed I have to wait until the next book.

The overall story is interesting and narrator does a fantastic job - as always!! Love stories that take you in different directions. Look forward to the next in the series.

Held my interest from beginning to end!

The story line of Cruel Sentence was engaging and the characters were well developed I thought I had it figured out and then it took a shift so I couldn’t put it down. I especially enjoyed the way that the lead character Nate Shepherd overcame the odds and his questioning of witnesses had me rooting for g for him. Love the Nate Shepherd character and his cast of family and friends.

I’ve enjoyed all the books in the series and I hope I don’t have to wait too long for the next book. George Newbern does a great job narrating the book. He is the voice of Nate. The characters are interesting and the plots of the books always have me guessing.
