Both books were trafic couldn’t stop. Looking for other books by this author loved them.

The love and protection of these wonderful children

I loved the narration. Both books Cruel Promise and Cruel Paradise were amazing books. I loved how their affair started and how it evolved. I love that these two individuals put the children first. I loved the children’s personalities. Totally charming and worthy of a read.

Perfect ending!

I have fallen in love with this family! I loved all the ups and downs, the happy moments and watching the beginning of a new family coming together! Great writing! I loved the narrators, Laura Horowitz and Walker Williams! They both did such a fantastic job! I will be adding more from this author!

Extremely good…

This was a great follow up to Book 1. Though not quite as good, it was still fantastic.

See above. Best book in years!! None of the stupid parts where the listeners goes “come on… any person would jump on that opportunity… or quit being so righteous “. None of that and it’s amazing and both part 1 and 2 amazing!!!

This was a great ending to the dual. Love was much stronger and in the end it prevailed. 🥰 you will still get the drama, the fighting, the mystery, the steamy parts and overall the love. ❤️

An emotional masterpiece

This review is for both Cruel Paradise and Cruel Promise. You must read both (in that order) for the full story. And for once, I didn't even mind the cliffhanger end of book 1. Both volumes are very long, and worthy of a credit each.

What a satisfying, couldn't-put-it-down listen. Definitely some things that frustrated me, though. Ben, Emma's brother in law is the DICK of all dicks, and Emma is a doormat when it comes to him, all for the "benefit" of the children, and it really isn't a spoiler alert to say how badly that backfires. The man should have been put out of his misery right at the jump, but of course, the drama he incites is in many ways the catalyst for Emma's ultimate decisions that drive her into the clutches of Ruslan.

Emma is a wonderfully developed, genuine character who deserves the world. But it's Emma's struggles, and deeply emotional fortitude that will keep you engaged throughout both books. Ruslan starts out as the bosshole from hell, but early on, it's easy to become really invested in the promise of their relationship. Together, they're FIRE.

A very worthwhile listen that you won't regret spending your credits on!

MCs lack common sense

I found myself quite annoyed with Emma and yelling out loud at her while listening to both books. She had too much empathy to the detriment of the children in some cases. I was also annoyed with the MMC because I knew who was behind it from the first book. I didn’t understand why he couldn’t figure that out at least nor why he would be gracious to people who don’t deserve it when he is supposed to be this ruthless CEO and head of the bratva. He also didn’t have the cunning that I would assume someone in his position would have. I liked how everything ended but I felt like the book could have been a bit shorter if they didn’t spend so much time with the continuous back and forth and repeating the same mistakes again and again. Good book but not a repeat listen for me.
