Publisher's summary

It was supposed to be a one-night stand... fate had other plans.

Newly appointed judge Jordan Blake is done with romance. But on a rare night out, she becomes captivated by Sierra, a woman half her age. Unable to resist her charms, the usually cautious Jordan gives in to a reckless night of passion.

Law student Sierra Fuentes doesn't expect to see Jordan again. Pleasantly surprised when she ends up her intern, Sierra sees an opportunity to continue their steamy affair. If only Jordan would stop caring about the rules.

With Sierra in her chambers, Jordan vows to keep their relationship strictly professional... even if she can't stop thinking about that night. Forced together, the women struggle to keep their desires and burgeoning feelings under control.

With her heart and career on the line, will Jordan risk it all for a chance at love, or will her fears keep her from leaping head-first into her happily ever after?

Find out whether love and lust are worth the consequences in this addictively steamy, age-gap, workplace romance.

Solid contemporary romantic story!

Great story. Believable characters, not the constant push away, quickly pull back, or immature reasons for separation. Solid romance and a very mature story. Plus the incredible, the g.o.a.t. Abby Craden narrating!!! A must listen.

Sexy but still very good story

First of all, I thought the narrator was perfect for a story. The story was extremely sexy, but very well written as well.

How we really do know how much chemistry we have

I really enjoyed the descriptive sex scenes. I rooted for the success of this relationship

It’s Abby Craden

Like she can read a shopping list (and probably would do it in 1/37 unique voices she can conjure) and I will give the performance 5 stars. She’s just that good. Having said that… did Sierra’s voice change at the end? She definitely sounded more soft butch at the beginning and then femme at the end..
The tension between the 2 MC is also really hot. Office romance or forced proximity troupe is there but so much drama around it. I wish the age gap thing wasn’t pushed so hard or was the central point in every conversation in nearly every chapter.

Another Stunning Story

Abby Craden does an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Crossing The Line is a fantastic age gap romance. J.J. Arias has such a beautiful way of writing love stories that truly capture your heart. All of her books feature strong and fierce women, which I love all of them. If you haven’t read or listened to this book, I strongly recommend.

Love this book

This is a very well written book about age gap, about judges and lawyers… with drama but not too much. Narration as usual was excellent.

Not my favorite, but worth a listen...

The story is simple and sweet. The MC's aren't super deep nor do they really develop throughout the story, despite what the author tried to convey (calling a character more mature because she has advanced her career and grown out her hair is pretty silly), but it doesn't take away from the story. I appreciate Abby Craden, she is one of the best narrators, but the voices chosen for these MC's didn't feel like the right choices. The writing is solid, as always from Arias. Overall, it's worth a listen.

I loved this story. it started out spicy, stayed steamy with chemistry between the MCs and then ended in spicy happiness. let's not forgot the wonderful Abby Craden's performance brought this story to life.

I’m speechless at this book. Bad.

I can’t believe the same author who wrote the love conspiracy wrote this book. I am not done yet but the younger woman is currently stalking the main protagonist ex-wife what the freak is this book I don’t think it was written for people my age (mid 30s) it’s a hook up story, but it’s like the keep flirting even when it’s extremely unprofessional.

I’m not a prude, I like steam in my stories but I also Like substance. They hook up, and they flirt nonstop Even when the older one keeps mentioning her age basically calling her kiddo the whole book so far. I just don’t like the characters, the concept, the stories, all of it.

Only good thing is Abby Craden. If she wasn’t narrating, i wouldn’t finish this story.
