Awesome series!
Great characters and a tightly-written story kept me interested for almost 30 hours. The action sequences are masterfully-written, and Charlie Harrison's character exhibits good and realistic development as the war moves along. DiLouie does a great job of giving us just enough technospeak to keep the book interesting, but doesn't try to overwhelm. Overall, I highly recommend this box set for anyone who loves good WWII action yarns.

What a story!!!!!!
Throughout the series I had to keep reminding myself that this was fictional. It followed the War much closer than you would expect never knowing what would happen next. A perfect mix of consequences, action and personalities. Thanks for a hard story to put down and an excellent narration.

Action, Action, Action
Nonstop, like watching a 'jason bourne' thriller. No frilly stuff, just pure nonstop action. The author did an enormous amount of study while writing this book. I don't know much about submarines but by the time I was done, I felt I had a history lesson.

I never write a review, I am COMPELLED to write the praises of this series!!!
It should be required reading in all high schools!!!! I think it would make many young people grasp an understanding of patriotism and service to country!
Having a distant relative that survived the Battan Death March , as well as horrific treatment in a Japanese Prison Camp, I am moved to the soul by this series!!!!
