Never have I been so totally consumed!
I usually intend to write a short review and end up with paragraphs. Here, that would and could only be a disservice to the book.
From the first words until the Post Script ended I was consumed. I visualized every word. each character was 100% real and at the end, in the post script where the author tells of each character's post war life and death, I would bet the house they are real. I have never before sat with pen and paper to calculate a character's age... till this book. Their approximate ages from clues say that during the war they were 21-27. Just amazing to absorb. Amazing writing!

Great Story
This was an awesome story. Im a sci-fi guy so this was a little off the path. Mostly here because RC Bray was the reader. I loved following Charlie Harrison from a newbie submariner and to becoming a legend. This is a must read.....or listen too
