About this listen
In an age when humans toiled the land, hunted for survival, and relied on their local blacksmith for horseshoes, life was simple; except for the deadly monsters that kept the night.
Trapped and alone during a full moon, monster hunter, Alexander Nightkill would prefer to be sleeping in a field of dandelions than waiting for death at the claws of a werewolf.
Then a beautiful woman and snarky words enters his life.
In pain, danger, and desperately needing to pee, Alexander finds himself at the mercy of a stranger and his own emotions. Then things really started to change.
In Covert Legacy: Blood and Bonds, we join Alexander at the beginning of his journey to becoming the great reformer and legendary hunter of the Crimson Templars. If you enjoy fantasy, slow-burn romance, shifters, new takes on myths, and interconnected series, this is for you.
Supernatural creatures, secret organizations, magic, and missions, the MoonWatch Universe’s web of stories and novels have it all.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

It was ok.
The narrator was ok. The story was meh. I understand how the first few books are introducing characters into the series, but it seems very disjointed to me. There is really nothing connecting the characters outside of monsters and hunters. I understand how the first two books essentially relate, but the third, not quite sure how it fits in outside of him being a hunter, unless the goal was just to introduce werewolves into the series. I feel like all of these could have been linked, better transitioned and combined into a single book, but that's just my opinion. Also, there's soooooo much inner monologuing. It gets old after a while.

Alexander finds himself deadly game with monsters!
“Covert Legacy: Blood and Bonds” by A. Adeshile is a thrilling start to a rich, supernatural universe, masterfully narrated by Shah James. With sharp writing and captivating narration, the story of Alexander Nightkill hooks you from the moment he finds himself in a deadly game with monsters. As the synopsis teases, “Trapped and alone during a full moon, Alexander would prefer to be sleeping in a field of dandelions,” but what follows is anything but restful!

A Twisted Retelling
I enjoyed this story a lot. I was entertained by this unusual retelling of an old fairy tale. I liked the characters. I enjoyed the humorous monologue Alexander had with himself, along with the amusing conversations between Alexander and the other characters in the story. I'm looking forward to more stories in this universe. I thought Shah James' narration was entertaining, and I enjoyed his performance. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this story.

Quick unexpected read
The book is a very short read. If you are looking for a supernatural book that's 97 pages. Definitely an interesting story, with an unexpected twist.
Two characters that have a lot of spunk and way of speaking to each other that is cute and funny. The other characters where a blast to read. They made me laugh so much. Each character having their own personality and reactions to the MC when he came along.
I really hope their is more of these characters in future books and hopefully a bit longer of a read moving forward with these characters. The ending made me wishing for more.

Great story
I got this from Storyoriginapp.com and wasn't aware of where the book fit into the series. However, even as a standalone this book was quite good and had parts that gave me a chuckle. This has gotten me interested in reading the other books in the series as well.

This One is Fun
This one of the series is fun as the Hunter gets into a predominant that is just to funny. On this book, a different narrator was used the the 1st book and thos narrator does a very good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
