well written amd grounded by scripture

as a life long city slicker who went to a large EPC church for 40+ years, I never realized to moving to a rural area would be such a shock. Around here baptism is like a spiritual bankruptcy, coming of age, and scalp counting all in one. I have been looking for a text that could be the source of more conversations without the bombast so charismatically delivered by the dunkers.

I think I finally found the book. anyone, irrespective of their denomination, should read the book even if in the end they still disagree. it is a worthy read that is well documented and grounded in scripture.
