What a story… this is one worth listening to multiple times.

I laughed I cried what a great story. The characters easy to love and to hate and to love again. The voices made it so you could dive in and feel like you were in it. What a great listen love this book.!!

this was a great listen, the last book is the best. I was disappointed in the epilog, not really telling enough of the four other children. like why didn't they adopt the children or tell you what happen with the little girl. other than that it was a good listen

This is near perfection! So few authors can pull this kind of deliciously dark, emotional romance off. And even fewer can do so in this many books in a series. This is exactly what I’m looking for in dark romance. This dynamic is perfection! The truly cruel mafia male, the strong female who actually doesn’t enjoy his cruel treatment, the truly gut-wrenching trauma…all of it. I love how long it takes for the relationship to develop, yet it doesn’t feel as if the author is creating needless drama to keep them apart. I loved this book so much! There was quite a bit of internal monologue I could have done without, and it could use some editing for grammatical corrections, but overall, it wasn’t superb. The narration was also great. I love it when an author isn’t afraid of the dark. ;-) This was so deliciously emotional. I loved every minute—and will definitely listen to this one more than once. It was hot and steamy, emotional, and had a great plot. 🖤🩶🖤

Great but wish a few things changed ! I

Some of the best books make you feel all your feelings lol and these books did that. I wish some many bad stuff didn’t happen but it’s over now. I still loved it. I hope she writes more books about the kids being grown up that would be neat to read.

Disappointed in Charmaine Pauls

I LOVE everything Charmaine Pauls writes, but this one took it too far. i hated this book series. Most of her books have a morally grey male lead who does some somewhat questionable things to the main female. However, they always seem to redeem themselves, and its never too far. There is no redeeming this ML. I hated him the entire book; the way he treated the FL was just too far, too mean, too unforgivable. Then, in the last hour of the book, he does a 180 personality change, and all of a sudden, he's this sweet, caring guy. i dont think so.
I would recommend ANY of this author's books, except this one- don't read it.

It could have been better!!

It was long a drawn out. Love scenes went from hot to abusive and uncomfortable. Too much bad stuff happened between their families. I’m still listening to it because I paid for it already 🤷🏽‍♀️
