Scary stuff that could easily get real

This new bizarre woke world where everyone is a victim is a stone throw away

The story continues, but...

The story continues with twists and turns in a not-so-distant future. Still a terrific read and series, but I much preferred the book to the audio this time.

The first book I forgave the caricature voice acting. The second book, it started to be abrasive. By this third one, the stereotyping of voices was downright annoying.

Similarly, the voice actor consistently mispronounces words. For example, every instance of "coup d'état" in the series is mispronounced, but in book 3 I actually was so distracted I started keeping a list... epaulets, autonomous, rectum... the list continues like a bad case of food poisoning...

The battle we all want

The cruelty and of the left on full display. While I don’t think that the military would go along with shelling American cities there might be those that would stay on the democrat side and fight just to keep their jobs and not be viewed as a desperate. But at this point you have to pick a side

Good book bad narration

If I wasn’t invested in the series I wouldn’t have finished this one. The content of the book is entertaining. The narrator is difficult to listen to. Then in spots throughout there’s a very faint echo that I can probably only hear because I listen with earbuds. Besides that there is an occasional odd noise that should have been caught in post production. Couple that with a narrator that slurs a bit and has some odd pronunciations, and that’s why I give this 1 star in performance.

Confederacy of fear

Another great book in the series! Read the two books prior to understand the characters.

Can’t wait for the next one!

Really like this series, written in a way to really to get you to think about the actual state of the USA & a fictional future that at times feels probable. I view it as a cautionary tale of political intrigue with a dash of “Red Dawn” !
