Good review

I felt this audio was good as far as touching base on important CCNA topics, but if I hadn't already studied CCNA material and new the terminologies I don't think I would have had a clue as to what he was talking about.

Nice rehearsal, bad companion pdf

Where does Cisco CCNA (640-802) Lecture Series rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is my first audiobook from Audible. Good.

Would you be willing to try another book from PrepLogic? Why or why not?

Yes. Usable for remote learning during commuting time

Which scene was your favorite?

1'st ever real description of usability of straight and cross-over cable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Simple description of routing protocols

Any additional comments?

The companion materials are automatically made from their stationery. Unusable without manual re-creation.

Good but old.

This is a great review of OSI to TCP as well as OSPF etc. Wish they would come out with a newer version of this book that covers the exam topics for the new exam objectives.

Adds another level to learning CCNA

I really enjoy the audio, lecture series. The only thing is there are references to a resource disk, with diagrams / examples. The lectures reference these diagrams a few times, they are referenced in a way that you need the resource material (diagrams) to follow along. Granted if you are driving and listening you cannot follow diagrams, but you could review the diagrams that spark interest and re-play audio portion again.

Will point you in the right direction... mostly

Pretty good at pointing you in the right direction, but you need to know way more detail about all of these topics than this book contains. Also, any place he says "this won't be on the CCNA exam", you had better study up on if you want to pass.

I rated the performance low because of the sound quality. He should have shelled out for a pop filter and a applied a low-pass filter.

Should not be an audio book

Billed as “lectures” its really just a book being read. It frequently references the “included disc” either images explaining important topics. We don’t have access to the disc so a lot of information is missing. Not well read

Great for a review of stuff you have seen before.

What made the experience of listening to Cisco CCNA (640-802) Lecture Series the most enjoyable?

The clear voice of the narrator as well has his way of explaining the material.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it went over a lot of sub-topics in a reasonably short amount of time without confusing you with unneeded information.

Any additional comments?

For the people talking about not being able to find the reference...how about look on the page thoroughly before commenting about it not being available. It's there, open your eyes. Also, to the guy talking about how it's not good for listening to in the car because of not being able to use the reference guide. I agree with you, but when I bought this audio book I knew fair well before hand that I would not be listening to it in the car. Unlike many other audio books, this one is definitely more of a sit at your computer while looking at the reference guide type of audio book.

TLDR:

There is a link to the reference guide on the same page that you purchased the book from (the product page) Also, this is much more efficient listening to at home with the reference guide in front of you, not while out and about.

where are the diagrams

Why are they referencing diagrams if you can't view them? That should have been downloadable as well.
