Acerca de esta escucha

She stole a powerful artefact. He resurrected an ancient evil. They are mortal enemies, and only one can survive...but both of them may be doomed in this heartrending saga of intrigue and betrayal.

When orphan Harper takes a legendary Dragonheart, she unwittingly signs her own death warrant. Searching for the elven king's missing Dragonheart is his ruthless spymaster Dimitri - who has his own secret agenda to revolutionise the Kingdom of Pelenor - but the Dragonheart is only the beginning.

To further his cause, Dimitri raises a revolutionary from beyond the grave. He realises too late that he did not raise an ally...but a dark, ancient power, hell-bent on revenge. And Dimitri is bound to his cause.

Trapped and thrust into the middle of rising conflict, Harper and Dimitri are forced to ally to survive. When Harper unexpectedly uncovers her identity, the truth will pit all against her, for Harper holds great darkness within her. Yet, she is the crux to prevailing against the oncoming cataclysm.

War comes for Pelenor. The Dark One will have his dominion. The ultimate sacrifice will be required - but who will give it, and will it be enough?

Resilience and the strength to stand in the face of adversity is tested in this powerful epic fantasy series of morally grey characters, loyalty and romance, betrayal and intrigue, and a desperate struggle against impending devastation that has left thousands wanting more.

The Chronicles of Pelenor is perfect for fans of Sylvia Mercedes' Venatrix Chronicles, JA Andrews' The Keeper Chronicles, and Elise Kova’s Air Awakens, who love richly woven sagas of characters striving to overcome adversity from within and without, against a backdrop of an epic-scale world that comes alive as you listen.

This is a complete series collection including Heart of Dragons, Court of Shadows, Order of Valxiron, and Mark of Fate.

Enjoyable from start to finish. Well worth a credit. Four solid sword and sorcery books in a satisfying collection.

Well worth the listen

I definitely felt like I got my money's worth out of this book. I mostly just listen to books during my commute, this books story was compelling and I listened at home too.

A solid story with good narration.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. There was a good variety of characters, and the complexity of characters and their character arcs were well thought-out. I was also pleased both that the battle scenes were not too gory, nor was there ever some big sex scene, which seems almost inevitable anymore in this style of story.
Not everyone survives to the end (as should obviously be when the story surrounds a war, though so many authors just make it happen), and those that do die are both made meaningful and are well-recognized (not just brushed over).
I had to chuckle at a few of the narrator’s female voices, but he did a great job at staying consistent with which voice he used for which character. I had to get a little used to the accent, but once I did, he was easy to understand, spoke at a good pace, and spoke in a good variety of tones/paces/etc as befitted the storyline.
Overall, I would definitely read this author and listen to this narrator again 😊
Thank you both for all of your hard work!

I thoroughly enjoyed this

The characters are selfish flat and boring the narrator wasn’t too bad but all in all it was an utter waste of time. Don’t waste yours!!!!!

Selfish, flat, boring

narrator speaks far to quickly with a very breathy voice making it incredibly difficult to understand couldn't stick with the book for 3 minutes

horrible narrator

The story was okay but predictable, campy, and formulaic. The narrator was incredibly outstandingly atrocious with female voices. He made the main character Harper sound like a dull witted fool. Misogynistic? Sabotage? Incredibly bad. I hope I didn't pay for this one.

uh uh oh noooo

The story is decent, though the characters are predictable. The narrator, though, is the worse I’ve ever heard. I’ve listened to hundreds of audible books and never have I heard a narrator that is so nasally and grating on my ears. I couldn’t finish it because of the narrator

The worst narrator I’ve heard
