About this listen

It's recent college graduate Zach Greenfeld's favorite time of the year and he's just received a temporary gig planning Lighthouse Bays Christmas parade. Not only does it speak to his penchant for organization, it also puts him face to face on a daily basis with his unrequited crush—Holland Stone. But his new job starts off in disaster when the most important float—Santa's sleigh—gets damaged.

Holland needs to win the Lighthouse Bay Christmas parade float competition in order to grow his new dollhouse-making business. The prize is an article in a major city newspaper, and nothing beats free advertising. Except, eager to help the adorable parade organizer, he volunteers to help fix Santa's sleigh, leaving no time to work on his own float, and putting his prize at risk.

Damaged floats, snowstorms, and a last-minute parade emergency force Zach and Holland closer than ever. All they need is a little bit of Christmas magic to help them realize they belong together.

*Christmas Lane is a sweet, May/December, small-town Christmas romance with an HEA!*

Christmas Lane is like a warm hug

Amy Aislin paints the perfect picture of a quaint New England town and dials up the charm factor with a parade float that has a tiny version of said town—and a small-town romance. If I didn’t already live in a quaint New England town, I’d want to move to Lighthouse Bay.

Both of the main characters are relatable and likeable. Zach is a recent college grad; he’s got a plan for his future and he’s trying to make it happen. Holland, while older, has struggled with finding what he wanted to do when he “grew up”, but is not immature. With the minor exception of one soul-crushing moment when Holland jumps to the wrong conclusion and nearly ruins everything, the characters communicate well and are very sweet together.

Aaron Hokanson does an admirable job with the narration. I had read the book a couple of years ago and was happy to find out that it is now on audio.

I really enjoyed it and I’ll definitely be listening again in December.

Love this story

Aaron did a wonderful job bringing me into this world. I love this book

I LOVED this book. Holland and Zach sure knew how to bury themselves in my heart

This was such a sweet Christmas read with guys needing to find their person.
Zach wants a relationship and someone to call his own. He is done with hook ups. Holland hasn’t had a relationship in a long time since his last ended so badly. Holland is also concerned about the age difference but it doesn’t phase Zach. Not one bit. These guys just fit together.

They have an awesome set of supporting friends and I can’t wait for the next book. The author made me feel like I was right there on Christmas lane and in the parade. I wish I had a town like this one near me.

Holiday goodness

Zach has a crush on his grade 3 teacher, now the town handyman. He fills out a pair of jeans perfectly and really knows how to use his tools!

I enjoyed Zach. He really embodies a young man on the precipice of his future. His drive and passion was palpable. He’s back home helping his sister at the family cafe while trying to find a job that will utilize his degree and talents. What he’s really missing though is connection with someone special.

Holland is a gem of a man. Kind-hearted, giving, and talented. Though he’s attracted to Zach, he’s understandably a little apprehensive about the age gap. But as they work on the town Christmas parade, they develop a friendship and real feelings which is what they both need.

It’s a slow burn, set amongst the fun and chaos of small-town holiday preparations, with lots of great side characters.

I adore a good Christmas romance and this one doesn’t disappoint, it’s got everything I love about them. A small town, with some intriguing and quirky characters, wintery good times, and lots of sweet treats. The narration by Aaron Hokanson is equally wonderful. Amy has used him before. He has a lovely voice and is such a great fit for Amy’s style and characters.
