About this listen

A New York Times best seller!

Lucas Davenport returns in the most harrowing and unexpected Prey novel yet - the story of a congenial man, and his most uncongenial obsession....

Art history professor James Qatar’s hobby was taking secret photographs of women. At night when he was all alone, he’d dream about them and indulge his fantasies. Then one day, his fantasy went too far. Now it’s Qatar’s turn to become an obsession - of Davenport’s. And for both men, there’s no turning back.

Please note: This is the abridged edition. An unabridged version is also available.

Im just not fond of the constant sex scenes. Could have done without or just once or twice.

Kept me interested but...

I love John Sandford novels, especially Lucas Davenport and his crew. I was really looking forward to listening to this. So I start and there's this noir music as a production value. It was cheesy and weird. I'm really glad it's the only audible that I have listened to with the music. It's pretty lame and takes away from Richard Ferrone who is fantastic.

The music is silly

I enjoy John Stanford books to varying degrees none less than good with many being great. I would say this one was somewhere between good and great. Eric Conger can make a good book great he is probably my favorite reader. Have him read a John Stanford book about Virgil Flowers and you have a winner.

Good book, Great Performance

I’ve enjoyed the Lucas Davenport books up to this point, well worth the money, this book is obviously thrown out there and is relying on the previous books for people to buy it. Very disappointing because it wasn’t thought out and simple, time to find a new author

Author is just throwing a book out there to make a deadline
