It tells you the meaning of characters, stroke order, everything you need to know. It is helpful

Well Written

It gathered all the characters with PinYin and breaks them down stroke by stroke. It provides writing practicing areas as well as exercises for vocabulary, grammar, and reading. Very handy!

Easy to follow.

Easy to follow. Slow pace learning with great examples. I use a translator to hear the pronunciation as a phonetic guide. I also use a blank sheet of paper to write my answers so I can keep my book clean.

I took a mandarin class when I was young and struggled. Then...today...this book helped me a lot. Easier than what my teacher taught me. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning/writing Mandarin.

GREAT GUIDE

As an intro to practical, conversational Chinese, this is excellent. The reward is that it also provides you a sign of the deeper artistic dimensions within classical poems, available even for beginners.

The method proposed in this book allows to absorb Chinese characters, and retain them in memory. Doing the exercises one learns by repetition, just like a child in grammar school.
