one of the best mecha books

yes there are alot of books based on this type of si-fi. but as a complete story. this is hands down one of the best I have ever read or listened to.

Good mech book

Bear with me first review I’ve done. Had my reservations about getting this book, since the author was the narrator. Glad I did Scott did not do too bad of a job narrating I enjoyed the book . if you enjoy big stomping death robots, you should enjoy this book.

Cant beat the feeling of being a Pilot to a 100+ ton Mech

Action, story, development, setting, and politics. this has got it all. oh yeah and amazingly described giant war walkers with cannons and missiles. What's not to love? 10/10

Fantastic Mech Action

This series dose a great job of putting the reader in the cockpit of a 100 ton death machine. The action is easy to follow and exciting and watching "Vandal" struggle with the realities of war makes him feel like a normal person. Though "Ardent" not a person the scenes with the old war machine are some of my favorites.

My only criticism is that the narrator comes across a little flat sometimes, so it's hard to figure out who is speaking in a conversation sometimes.

A great surprise

stumbled on this series by accident and was pleasantly surprised. most reviews say that the author narrating isn't great but it isn't nearly as bad as they made it sound. great overall.

Outstanding!

Excellent story and performance. Looking forward to the rest of the books in this series. Has the feel of an old school Keith Laumer story.

Much better then I thought!

While Scott tries his hardest to narrate his own book he does not do it justice in the slightest. Luckily with the classic unwilling MC, wrench turner turned mech jock makes for a great story packed in a very little frills package. Highly recommended by me, fellow lover of sci fi and mech books. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did... and Scott please get a narrator for your books!

loved the book. Good starter for a new set to read. fast pace good character development.

Wow. just wow.

I was completely blown away by this novel. This has to be one of tue best sci fi wae novels ive read in a very long time. Hienlien would have been proud.

Great sci-fi

At first I was weary about picking up a book with so few reviews but boy was I happy I did. This was a fun sci fi that was very well written and filled with excitement and fun characters. Definitely give this one a try! I’ll be picking up the second one now!
