About this listen

On every cobblestone street in Savannah, mysteries whisper!

When a bank executive returns to her hometown of Savannah with her young son, she hopes her family and friends and the charm of the low country will heal their grief and bring them peace.

Instead, she’s thrust into chaos—a crumbling family business on the brink of bankruptcy, mysterious bodies surfacing with ties to her family’s name, and whispers of long-buried secrets threatening to come to light.

What begins as an attempt to heal becomes a desperate fight for survival as danger closes in from every side, leaving her questioning everything she thought she knew about her family, her past, and herself. As she delves into her family's past, her investigation takes a devastating turn—her son is kidnapped. But the ransom isn’t money; it’s something far more personal, and tied to the very truths she’s fighting to uncover.

With her son’s life on the line and her family’s legacy crumbling, each revelation pulls her closer to the truth—and to a past that could destroy them all. Can she find the kidnapper in time to save her son and preserve her family’s future, or will betrayal and deceit seal their fate forever?

CHANGING TIDES—a suspense that will keep you guessing until the last page. If you enjoyed the tension of Karin Slaughter's Pieces of Her or the family drama of Elin Hilderbrand's The Perfect Couple, you’ll love this first book in the Savannah Mystery Series.

Virtual Voice ruined the story

It was hard following the story because of virtual voice- I honestly hate that source of narration because it has ruined every book I’ve read!

Poor AI Narration

The storyline was good but the AI narration was TERRIBLE. I hope we never get away from humans who read with expression and pronounce words correctly.

Loved the story (Five Stars) but I’ve decided I’m not a fan of virtual voice.

Virtual voice

I really do not like virtual voice. While this book was relatively good, the reading ruined it. I will not listen to another book without a human reader. Ruins the experience.

The flatness of the narration

I did not like the narration. It was flat and one dimensional. Too hard to differentiate between characters. What a great way to lose the interest of the listener!

Horrible computer generated voice

Story might have been better if not told through a flat computer generated voice. Many mispronunciations.
