Great story but not for delicate people.

That’s just how it was. If you’re only interested in a story where everyone is treated fairly, no one is misunderstood, history is changed and sterilized to meet today’s standards, everyone gets a medal for just being alive, then this isn’t the book for you. Bad behavior, language and misdeeds are laid bare without apology but certainly not glorified. It’s just raw I read it in high school back in the 90’s and I went back for more now in my late 40’s and the only disappointing part about it is that it’s abridged and JC is not the best narrator LOL

child sex abuse....I didn't like

I didn't like the child sex abuse.
I didn't like him marring his x lover daughter.

Loved it!

Loved the story line and the fact it was read by none other than Jackie Collins! On to part 2!

Audible censors

Love the uncensored book. Audible took out a ton of sections. Should offer both versions. Too bad.

Uabridge

I’d love to hear the unabridged versions of both books. Lucky and Chances. Both are favorites.

Wasted A Credit on 4 chapters

Part 2 should be included it was just more than 2 hours. I feel jipped.

Nothing ! it was amazing from start to finish -All characters really came to life keeps you interested every second!

They took out too much in abridgment

It’s annoying that they censor the book, but even more so that it causes you to not even know a character they are talking about.

Dank and dreary, drags too

I'm glad it wasn't any longer; I couldn't have taken any more! Depression, depression, depression one horrible thing after another to the protagonists; I hated this book!! Okay and then the narration; there must be good authors out there who are good narrators but this isn't one of them. I would prefer to give this no stars but that's not a choice. You might like it who knows? If you don't it's only a couple of hours wasted, but that was still too many for me!
