Publisher's summary

Looks like it's time to burn my house down.

Best-selling author Lexy Timms brings you a firehouse romance so hot, it's sizzling!

To Rebecca Taylor, her job had become simple, sort of like lather, rinse, and repeat. She traveled throughout the country certifying fire station equipment. She's a fully certified fire fighter, but her area of expertise is in testing out new equipment that will save lives. She lands up at Station 5 in Phoenix, AZ, the one place she's been trying to avoid.

She grew up just outside the city, along with the newly hired sexy lieutenant, Sam Evans.

He was best friend's with Becca's brother, before he died in a random fire almost a decade earlier.

Heat runs ramped in the city of Phoenix - desert sun, burning buildings, and the undeniable hot attraction between Becca and Sam.

When the past begins to appear in familiar fire patterns, Becca is startled to realize there may be an arsonist in the city. Her brother, Corey's death had been ruled an accident. Will she be able to prove it was murder before the arsonist comes looking for her?

Great book

I really enjoyed this book. It had so much spunkiest from Becca. Nothing was going to stop that girl at all. It will be interesting to listen to the next book! Enjoy! I sure did!

This is a cliffhanger.

This was a new-to-me author. The story was okay. The firefighter aspect was done well and the story line was good. It doesn't end with anything resolved so that you have to listen to the second book to find out who the arsonist is (if you haven't already figured it out).
This narrator was also someone I was unfamiliar with. In my opinion, there was way too much melodrama. In many parts she emphasized EVERY other WORD.

Caught in flames

This book was enjoyable, even though the characters seemed too ignorant to solve the crime. It also ends with a cliffhanger ending.

If It Were Categorized As YA I'd Give 5* 😴

Rebecca Taylor is at the top of the food chain when it comes to new equipment for firefighters. Her latest stop is at Station Five, the firehouse in the town where she grew up.

There are painful memories there as her brother died in a fire. However, with the sorrowful memories come along some good ones when she meets up with her brother's boyhood friend Sam Evans. They have an odd sort of chemistry as they are kind of in limbo from the tragedy in the past.

Will the feelings of the present overcome the tragedy? Will she be able to keep this hot and sexy firefighter at an arms length? And while she's there will she be able to do some investigation of her own of her belief, surrounding the suspicious circumstances of her brother's death?

Four stars for the story, four stars for the wonderful performance by Stacy Hinkle and four stars overall

This felt more like a young adult romance (though there are naughty bits that I wouldn't want a teenager to read) than a contemporary romance, in my opinion

I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others to enjoy romance with a little bit of spice!
