wonderfully written, perfect love story

just when you think you know where the book is going you realize there is still 10hrs left and it takes a huge left turn. a must read!

My Two Pennies

Let me start off by saying that I enjoyed this story. Of course right off the bat I'm in love with Chase the hot firefighter and the attention he gives Callie who wouldn't right?. As we get further into their story I started to get a bit irritated by the way he truly is. I love how Callie has her girls with her through think and thin and when Ashley comes into the mix, absolutely fell in love all over again. The story definitely took a turn I wasn't expecting but it was a good one. I can't forget about Kiki, she is such a beautiful soul and it goes to show you never judge a book by its cover. There were a few teary scenes and others I had such a huge smile for. Overall this was a beautiful story and I loved it.


Audiobook listen brought me back and I was swooning for Ash all over again and wanting to find a Kiki of my own. The narration was full of emotion and each character stood strongly on their own.

Plot Twist!

So happy I didn't stop listening to this book.. after reading some of the other reviews I would have missed out on an amazing book!! I loved it!! I laughed out loud, swooned, cried, and a plethora of other emotions. Kacey Shea is quite an amazing story teller. Thank you so much for writing this story, I can't wait to read your other books!!! #Instafan

Struggled to finish listening to this book. I'm Sorry, but it just wasn't for me.

Bait and Switch

In short I enjoyed & Recommend.

in a more indeph opinion I have to say heroine was funny/silly and in the beggining she felt a bit immature, as the book progressed after we meet our Hero Chase I liked him even less, while you may wonder why I stayed, we'll I won't spoil the story but will say I began to connect with her an realized at 22 she did some actions accordingly to her age but after mysterious occurrences, a devasting turn she finally opens her eyes.

This book holds a HEA, and My choosen title will make sense about half way thru.

So Much Drama!

This book had my head going back and forth about who to love and who to hate. I spent most of the book hoping for redemption for one character but the story went in a completely different direction. I enjoyed the overall story but still wish it would have gone differently. I will definitely listen to other books from this series and see what happens with everyone.

The narration was amazing! I loved what Savannah Peachwood did with all of the characters!

Get caught in a great story

This is my first Kacey Shea audio. I can see the author wrote a great story . The story is hot , steamy , the story is full of suspense. Lots of twists and turns , smart women and hot firemen .
Heroine is Casie Hero is Chase.
Casdie has always had the hots for a man in a uniform , so when a house became available near the fire station she had to grab it . Chase catches her eyes and imagination, chase and Cassie get together but Cassie life falls apart , by betrayal true friends come together and help her .
There are 2 friends that help Cassie and one will help Cassie with her HEA. Grab it and see hat happens to Chase and who helps Cassie.

Savanna Peachwood was fantastic, her voice is sexy, dreamy , clear and strong .

This is a book with a lot of angst and drama and if that is your thing, you will probably love this one! For me the best character was Ashley, he was real, flawed and sweet which I loved. Callie grew on me, in the beginning I wasn't a fan because she is a huge ball of angst but towards the end I think she grew and her character became much more like able. I also loved the relationship she formed with her elderly neighbor, it was sweet and honest. If this book had a few less coincidences I probably would have been able to get on board but NO ONE ever has a weekly run in with the fire department... or at least I hope no one does. Besides the drama, this book was sexy and funny.

The narration was good too.

I give it a 4.5 ⭐️

I really enjoyed listening to this. One because the narrator is excellent, and two because it was easy to stay engaged and yet not filled with angst and drama. As per usual romance novel it was slightly predictable but not to the point of eye rolling or boredom. It wasn’t smoking hot, but enough steam for the story. The author did a good job at character development. I felt like I knew each of the characters and liked most of them. The only character I couldn’t really relate with is Callie. She was way too naive and clueless. I did roll my eyes at her several times, but then again it was all part of the story. If she was real bright the story would have played out differently 🤣 overall it was a fun, entertaining romance. I needed a break from darker genres and this bit the spot perfectly!
