She was so scared, and came across weak and helpless…turnoff

I completely understand that the heroin throughout the book did find her voice and her strength. She had several moments where she stretched herself, and became much better as a person, and learned what she’s truly capable of. Nevertheless, personal preference, I cannot stand when a heroin comes off, so weak, not speaking up for herself, letting people walk all over her, Freezing up with severe fear.

Nevertheless, the storyline was amazing, the voice actors did a phenomenal job. I gave it four stars because of her weakness.

Intriguing

Loved this Mafia story. The MC was so charming and I fell in love with him. The FMC was strong and to the point. I loved their openness with each other. A great love story with a nice plot twist.

The Narrators did a wonderful job. Maxine always brings her A game and this is my first time hearing Grayson Owen’s; I look forward to continuing this intriguing Mafia series with Grayson as Jaxon Pace.

This book was just the kind of romance novel I love. I couldn’t put it down and am going to get the next in the series right now! Glad to have discovered this author!

Loved this story and all the drama that came with it. Man it was so well written I do audio and physical book and many Grayson Owen’s Voice is flipping amazing. He really is Jaxon and portrays the character so well. Over all I loved the whole book and can’t wait to read next one.

Slow burn

Great story so far. The development of the main characters is addicting. The burn is so slow which I enjoy.
Personally, I am a big fan of ‘duet’ narration. This not that but still quite good and worth the listen! Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series!

Amazing book!

I am very upset with myself for sleeping on this book and not picking it up sooner.
The storyline of this book is unexpected. It’s not your typical I can predict what’s coming next. The amount of action in this book is like you’re watching an action movie.
The descriptions are on point and fantastic. Narrators for Jaxson and Natalie have a full range of portraying emotions, and it is a joy to listen to this book.
Spice level is maybe a 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️.5
Immediately diving into the second book !

The story and narration was fantastic!!!

This is the beginning of Jaxon and Natalie’s love story. Jaxon Pace is the beloved hotelier, philanthropist, rich playboy and don supreme of the mafia. After a kidnapping attempt of Jaxon’s daughter, Jessica, was thwarted by Natalie Tyler, a woman who is staying at the hotel for her cousin’s wedding.

At first, Jaxon believes that Natalie helped Jessica because she had ulterior motives. Natalie is so taken aback by Jaxon’s accusations that after the shock wears off, Natalie checks Jaxon’s attitude towards her and then explains how she ended up being able to save Jessica. After checking to make sure Jessica is safe, Natalie refuses Jaxon’s attempts to apologize for his accusations. Our mafia don is very persistent and doesn’t take no for an answer. 🤣

This book is full of mystery, intrigue, painful past and transformation. Watching Jaxon and Natalie navigate through their painful past relationships and learn how to be in a relationship with each other was very entertaining. They go through a lot in this book, but it is well worth it in the end.

This book is dual narration, meaning one narrator voices each character for the chapter they narrate. Grayson Owens and Maxine Mitchell are fantastic narrators and it shows throughout this book. Highly recommended this series🥰

Amazing

I freaking loved this. The bond between Jaxon and Natalie was lovely. I loved their dance around each other and the plot was excellent. It definitely kept your strand made you want to read till the end!!
